Do they have to be searching for radio signals? Why not search water?

How does water give them any indication of intelligent life? Water is everywhere.

Did not exactly mean intelligent life, just life in general. But going where the water is would be a lead.

If you have the discernment to differentiate between conjecture and verity, you should watch this video.

Interesting Thread, I'll start off by saying I'm not in any way religious. As a child, it always bothered me why there was no mention of dinosaurs in the bible, does anyone have any insight on this? Did I just miss it or is it a major flaw in the bible?

There were no dinosaurs in the era when the Hebrew Bible was written - which is all the authors knew, and all they could know.

Fair enough, but when they say that humans and animals were created first and so on, there's absolutely no mention of dinosaurs. Doesn't that mean that the author's were creating fiction? Shouldn't the prophets have been able to know that dinosaurs were around before humans, and make corrections to the bible?

The Pistons and Knicks are playing today and noticed this thread and decided I would sneak in and answer your question real quick. The word dinosaur obviously wasn't around back then so you have to read closely. There are a few descriptions in the Bible that sound exactly like dinosaurs. I forget exactly where but I want to say the book of Job, among others. Also, keep in mind that the Bible also uses the word unicorn and many skeptics automatically assume it is referring to the cute white horse with a horn which is ridiculous. It was most likely referring to something like a rhinoceros perhaps based on the description but we obviously can't be 100% sure. I think you are wrong to say dinosaurs aren't in the Bible and I would encourage you to actually go look for the questions you have instead of just assuming things based on your own knowledge. That's not an insult, just an honest suggestion.

80% of the Bible is total BS, and you worry about the dinosaurs?

In this video, the truth is obfuscated with absurdity. If you do not have the discernment to differentiate between conjecture and verity, you should NOT watch this video.

Wow, this is a GREAT talk. He simplifies string theory and the multiverse in an amazing way. Even crazier to me are the implications he brings up in which some time in the future the sky will be completely black.

The Holy Qur'an speaks of multiverse existence (actually, 7 universes)...

Played by humans, not super intelligent beings. Even if it's true (great topic to talk about), and future humans are advanced enough to do a simulation like this (meaning at least 50-100 years ahead of "us"), that means "we" are based on "them", and most of "us" are retards, thus most of "them" have to be retards too.

For kicks I clicked a random spot in this video, 21:45 I think, and watched about 40 seconds. That was enough, I feel bad for those who spend time watching the hundreds of 2 hour+ long illuminati/nwo/reptilian humanoid videos on youtube.

It would be nice if there was actual science and philosophy in this thread. There are maybe 7-8 pages worth of science, no trace of actual philosophy.

Instead of complaining, why not post things that interest you? Seems like a far better solution than whining about another person's interests.

It's a legitimate complaint. If you want to talk about the NWO and 2012 then you can change the thread title to "Pseudo-science and Conspiracy Theories". It would have saved me the time I spent looking for something interesting in this thread.

There's legitimate science if you look around instead of just picking one post and throwing a hissy fit. I'm certain I've posted some Neil Degrasse Tyson in these threads.
