Mack has got to be replaced. He is nothing special. They need more from the back up PG. I expected him to be a much better threat from outside.
His handles are ok. He is a safe type PG but he is really no treat. He isn't quick enough nor can he leap that well. Add nothing special as a shooter and there is no reason to keep him. Third guard at best if you have that luxury to have that. The Wiz do not.

Now that was a good one.
But I wouldn't say that really about all the players. There are plenty I would have back next year. Mack just isn't one of them.

So did someone take an axe to Lewis's knee ? Talk about Tank. He can't be that hurt.

+1 I thought he would adapt to the pro game, but he is showing he isn't an NBA PG.

The spacing is just horrible. Hard to feed the post when all the defenders are packed in.

Just to slow for how tall he is. And not a good enough shot to compensate. We should be talking about who would be better as the back up PG.

This roster needs another big. With Blatche and Lewis not playing (and believe me, I'm not complaining about that), McGee and Turiaf traded, and N'Diaye long ago gone, Nene and Cook alone aren't going to fill all those minutes. They should resign N'Diaye or someone who can take some minutes, fouls, and pounding in a pinch. I Guess that's acting as if there might be a plan.

Booker is toughing it out. I saw him limping last game and he still had 12 rebounds.
Ves giving them some of what McGee was giving them around the rim except Ves is way ahead of where McGee was year 1 at defense. Hell, he is ahead of where McGee is now in regards to D. Ves is a way better prospect and he should be. He was taken with the sixth pick.
The kid is no way a bust. He will be a solid player next year. Its not going to take 3 or 4 for him to put it together enough to stay on the floor. He will add offense over the summer. I can see him as a starter. There is a lot there to build on. Long. Mature. Hustle. Smart.
With Nene, KS and Ves down there, they have enough to work with at center and power forward. Specially with Booker. Now if Dray gets in shape and they decide to keep him around a little longer, that is their lest weak stop. I wouldnt hate them adding a Zeller and loading up so they finally have depth. Then they could focus on the big holes. SF, SG and back up PG.
Ves, is the anti McGee. All substance. And now they are starting to find him on the alley opps. We will be ok with Ves. McGee as a bench player would have been awesome but it didnt work out that way.
The Wiz will be alright after this summer. I can see the building blocks of a team here finally. Either via draft and/or FA, if they get the next right pieces as SF and SG and a better back up PG, they will instantly look better. Its a team game. Those next few pieces are going to make a big difference because at this point, what they lack is really hurting them more then what they have.

The plan is to play Nene. When they can't, they will play KS and Ves like they did so they can get experience while they get a high draft pick.
That is the plan.
Sure. Bring back Hamady. I don't see that changing the plan.

That's a very charitable and somewhat paradoxical characterization of a player whose value is almost entirely tied up in intangibles. Tremendous substance, all of it insubstantial, I'm afraid you've lost me Herr Schrödinger.

I've been saying it all year: Mack blows. He's severely lacking in talent. Slow, poor ball-handling/breakdown ability, can't jump, etc. And on top of that, he plays nervous, and his jumper hasn't been as avertised. We could've used our 2nd rounder on Isaiah Thomas, who's more talented. I'd rather have a vet PG that can spell Wall some minutes and be productive. Too many games we're riding on Wall for so long because was have no competent backup.
