That's just ONE person's vote. ESPN is hyping lebron all season and we know what happens when ESPN hypes someone. Plus, i would love to see him grab the DPOY. It's ridiculous that sekou smith based it on the "come back" Durant shot 6-22 but apparently lebrons 4-14 is worse................Also, this is the first time durant has been 1 whereas lebron has been 1 all season till now.

No one would look at those rankings if the number one spot stayed the same the whole year. The change prob has more to do with getting hits on the nba site, than actually having any real value.

Considering lebron is so superior to durant statistically, it should take a decent size record differential to justify picking durant

If lebron keeps playing like that, no chance for him to get the mvp. durant totally outplayed him.

dude's not getting it this year. If he improves back to his original form, people will mention Durant putting up a classic LeBron statline, people already have Durant better than LeBron. The game kind of sealed the deal. Dude's a fantastic scorer.

If anything, I think Wade needs to get into the MVP talks. His 4th quarter surges helps us. The fact he went 6-10 against OKC is stupid. Only 10 shots (Wade).

Let him set his eyes on the FINALS and winning the title. Not personal accolades. I wanted him to win, but this slump of his isn't helping.

zogster wrote:So LeBron got bumped down for "shooting just 46 percent over his last 5 games." Meanwhile Durant has shot a sizzling 45 percent over his last 5 games and was moved up?

Seriously, the only thing that they could harp on was that he hasn't shot as well as he has the rest of the season and "hasn't made the same impact." Yet he is shooting better than Durant over the last 5 games for each player and has 9 rebounds and 7 assists per game (Durant 7.4 rebs 3.6 assists).

Hmm... pretty baseless and dumb.

It's blasphemous that they would consider tinkering with the rankings like that, the only way Durant gains over Lebron is if he starts scoring at 60%+ for those 5 games and Lebron is averaging a 1:1 Assist-TO ratio and shooting 30% from the field.

Definitely being robbed this year, Lebron plays two positions on offense and is probably the 1st or 2nd best overall defender in the league.

Good, need to look toward better things like winning his first ring. Might good for him to hear Durant is better wish is hog wash. When drant can carry his team to a final without westbrook, hell even harden then maybe we can talk.

I'm kinda torn, do I really want LeBron to win MVP?

I mean, the history of the MVP indicates that you're not gonna win in the post-season. But of course, history doesn't matter and it totally still depends on LeBron.

But on the other hand, it would be so cool to have a Heat MVP.

I think I'll be fine with either way. But I hope LeBron wins it. :)

I'd still prefer that 2 awards that you get in June, though. if you know what I mean :)

This, if he doesn't win MVP oh well, regular season doesn't mean much.

Championship +Finals MVP would be a bigger FU to all the haters.

Then next year gets recognized for DPOY.

Actually, how awesome iwill it be if he wins BOTH MVP and DPOY right now?

Seriously, that would be so sweeeeeet. It actually has a real chance of happening IMO.

How about all three? Can't do much better than that in a single season.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

I knew the last two games would put him back over the top, especially the OKC game.

GJ LeBron.
