one way ticket to Las Vegas or Seattle

have u been to a Bucks v Bulls game this year ?

then you know that if the Bucks play the Bulls in the 1st round
there will be 75% Bulls fans here in Milwaukee

and that will be an embarrassment for our Organization, Team, Players, Fans

playing the Bulls in the 1st round is the WORST CASE SCENARIO

if we end up playing the Heat or Magic, then im ok with that
but its not looking good right now

i also feel that drafting 15th or 11th has little difference in value of players

No but as a Warriors fan I can tell you the same would happen if we played the Lakers in the playoffs. There are probably more Lakers fans in the Bay Area then there are Warriors fans due to the same reason as the Bucks. We pretty much fail to make the playoffs every year (though the Bucks are far more successful at it, but the point remains). If the Warriors and Bucks were constantly in the playoffs, more fans would follow them and it wouldn't be as easy for the Bulls and Lakers fans to fill the stadium. Playing the Lakers in the regular season brings out a ton of Lakers fans, but if the Warriors gave the Bay Area reason to start loving the team, I'm sure they would start being more true to the home team. As bad franchises they open the door for this to happen. When the fans are rooting for loses, it allows it to happen on an even bigger scale...

You're more than welcome to leave then.

I disagree. I think he's a great poster and adds value to the board. :)

Just cause some posters around here don't have thick enough skin to allow someone to disagree with them, doesn't mean everyone else ought to leave.

Thanks! I enjoy reading your posts too. I'm also an outcast in the Warriors forum... I guess being positive is looked down upon by posters in the realGM forums...

Yup, Amare will probably be shut down for the season.

No way we don't get the 8th seed now.

Nobody cares about first round fodder in the NBA. People here are so jaded against this team with the Packers and Brewers being successful just making the playoffs isn't enough. Nobody will care about this team until they feel they have a legit chance at at least making the ECF. Getting curb-stomped by the Bulls would be much much worse imo.

What about FTD season? There was a hell of a lot of buzz over the Bucks both in Milwaukee and nationally just 2 seasons ago.

I'm not going to pretend to know why, but can it be attributed to the fact that it has been really inconsistent first round fodder? Do you think nobody would care if they made the playoffs 5 years in a row? I think it would make a difference and it is also very rare for a team to go to the playoffs five years straight without winning a series. Being a consistent playoff team will lead to you being a better regular season team, which leads to getting better match ups in the playoffs, which can lead to the promised land... But, point being if the start of the magical run is a first round exit, than you should take it.

Ask the Mavericks how making the playoffs for like 10 years straight worked out. The years they were supposed to win it all, they lost. Last year when most people counted them out as contenders pre-playoffs, they won. I remember all the talks of teams either trying to win as much or lose as much so they could match up with Dallas in the first round... Well we see how that turned out...

I have no qualms with optimism as long as that positive energy doesn't cloud one's judgement regarding the reality of the team. I try to be positive with this team, but that doesn't mean I think they are going to do anything in the post-season.

I'd much rather have this team not make the playoffs and have a better shot at improving through the draft vs drawing Chicago in the first round and getting murdered in four games, including 2 games at the United Center North (Bradley Center). Does that make me negative?

The Knicks don't need Amare. He is like their Gooden except they don't really need his offense. He might be even worse than Gooden on defense. They would be just as good, if not better, with some NBDL scrub pf to play respectable defense. I don't care if he squats on the other end of the court taking a crap on every Knicks possession, it would still be an improvement.

Okay, I'm exaggerating a little, but I hate when players like Amare get so much credit. His horrendous defense and subpar rebounding more than offset his volume scoring. Novak gives them an element they actually need, as does Jeffries. With Jeffries out, this is a depth problem for the Knicks. But if Amare is out for the year, I don't think that hurts them as much as you think.

If I was a Knicks fan I would go to be every night praying that they could trade Amare for an expiring contract. I remember when the first amnesty came along it was called the Allan Houston Rule, and the Knicks didn't even use it on Allan Houston. Now there's a new amnesty, and they should call it the Amare Rule.

Amar'e's given them nothing this year. Less than nothing, maybe. Him being out rather than playing like he's been playing should help them.

the FTD team was better than 1st round fodder especially with Bogut. That team was battling for 5th seed and could be competitive with the Hawks or Celtics.

Getting the 8th seed this year and getting swept in 4 games with 10k Bulls fans in our building aint going to excite anybody

just going to make this franchise even bigger of a joke locally and nationally
