oh and btw, he mentioned he became a fan of Rytas when his mom bought him running shoes with the logo of Rytas, and now that hes playing for them, his dream has come true... Id like to know whats his favourite team in the NBA..

Next season, we'll have one of the most promising teams in the nba. Valanciunas + a top 6 pick is a big upgrade for our future. On top of that we have so much flexibility with our cap space... I think we're going to make the playoffs next season... and it'll be with a promising crew of young players leading us. I think the addition of a PG like Rondo or Nash would be instrumental for us.. those guys are straight leaders... that's what we need here. I would like to sign a guy like Jeff Green. The guys shown promise, he's just looking for an opportunity to showcase his talen as a SF. We'll be able to give him that opportunity and more. Imagine a lineup of:

Rondo / FA or Kobongo
DeRozan / Forbes
Green / JJ / Kleiza
Bargnani / Ed
Valanciunas / Amir / Gray

That's a playoff team.

How the eff are we getting Rondo and keeping our existing core? You think Boston would trade Rondo straight up for our pick? That ish ain't happening....

On draft night, he and his agent worked a deal so he would drop to us at # 5. Jonas V definitely prefers Toronto over Cleveland. That says a lot about how much he likes us.

Yup. No point picking up a piece we need (PG) if it means cleaning ourself out of the starters we might already have (SG, SF, PF, assuming the pick/DeMar pans out). Great players at the 1 and 5 is a good start, but we'd be right back on that rebuild wagon for another couple years. And unless Boston is going into a complete rebuild this year, they're probably not giving up Rondo for our pick + one of those players.

Having said all that, I'd love for Garnett or Allen to sign with Toronto over the offseason. Give them massive one-year contracts; either one would be awesome mentors. Can you imagine DD learning off-ball movement from Rondo or Garnett beating some fire into Bargnani's game? Epic. But of course that simply won't happen, and they'd be stupid to take our money over legit ring shots with other teams.

No, that is not a playoff team. Not even close.

edit: I should say, that's a really bad basketball team. Which might be enough to make the playoffs in the East. I won't dispute that on further thought.

The most important Eurocup game for Rytas will start in 30 minutes. Rytas must not lose by 11+ points if they want to continue their journey towards the final four.

Some facts:
BC Donetsk is undefeated @ home
Rytas has lost only once on the road
Rytas center Samadzirski won't play today due to sprained ankle
Former NBA player Darnell Jackson plays center for BC Dontesk
