Ethan J. Skolnick ‏ @EthanJSkolnick
Mike Miller, at Battioke event, tells me he's ready to go. Out of cast. Just waiting on team to let him play.

I don't trust Miller when he says he's healthy. I'd wait another few weeks. He's a guy we MUST have for the playoffs.

Oh great iron man is back, so maybe he can give us some 3's. Oh and staying healthy would be nice too but that's too much to ask.

Battioke? As in Shane Battier singing karaoke?

That's it, we've mailed it in until the playoff's. Don't bother paying to attend games until the post-season guys.

As for Miller, let the countdown for his next injury begin.

Hopefully he can provide what he did early in the season because the last few days of him being healthy were weak.

EDIT: Battioke is an event hosted by Shane and his wife for his foundation at some nice hotel where people essentially pay money to sing karaoke and have fun with all proceeds going to their charity.

Yeah, the Heat writers are updating Twitter with pics and everything. The people there are:

- Shane
- LeBron (who btw has red tape wrapped around his left finger)
- Mike
- JJ
- Cole
- Rio
- Turiaf
- UD
- Juwan
- Wade

probably the whole team is there, but not in the pictures, lol. Also, Riley is there. So maybe 'mailing it in' is approved by him?

Hey you never know.

I was joking around about the whole don't attend games thing. Had a feeling it was some sort of charity event, saw Shane mentioned it a few days ago on twitter.

Nice to see that a lot of the team is there though. Shows some unity.

I'd be excited if Miller was a game changer. Such as... god help me, but like Novak.

YAY MORE PASSING OF THE BALL AND GIVING UP MORE 3'S BECAUSE HE'S IN THE LANE DOING NOTHING!!

I think you guys are underrating Mike Miller's impact off the bench. His activity is a huge boost to the team when he comes in. He's a consistent shooter. But more importantly is the rebounding he gives us. James Jones doesn't rebound as well as he does, and that second unit with just Bosh out there misses Mike Miller out there getting boards.

His all around game is really important to us pressing our advantages on the wing. Which people don't like to hear because everyone thinks that playing James Jones solves all of our problems.

Mike is James Jones shooting with rebounding, passing, and dribbling.

Main thing with Mike is health.

I want to send Mike a Get Well Soon card but I'm afraid he'll injure himself opening it.

What's the point of him being better than JJones, when he can't even stay healthy. The man gets injured off loose balls. I do believe he is a better shooter than Jones, but the man passes up wide open shots. So it defeats the purpose. James Jones will not pass the ball if he has a Wide Open shot. Period. MMiller will pass it to someone and some how get injured in the process. I totally agree with you in every aspect in terms of rebounding, but the man is suppose to be shooting and is too passive. We can't have that mentality when our bench is thirsty for offense. Everyone calls for James Jones because he did a great job last year when Miller was out. This year, he hasn't even gotten burn for whatever reason.

I want him to get healthy for we can trade his ass already. Package him and some other player for a first round pick and draft the tallest/athletic guy available.

Total Rebounding (with Mike Miller)
48.5%

Total Rebounding (without Mike Miller)
49.8%

We've been a better rebounding team WITHOUT Mike Miller playing. I'm not saying the gap is all his fault or that he's a bad rebounder because there are some obvious confounding factors but chances are this huge rebounding impact that you are trying to portray is either just a figment of your imagination or an issue of confirmation bias (you believe Miller is making a huge impact on the boards so thats what your eyes tell you that you see)

Trust the numbers not your eyes/memory/estimation skills
Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.
