Why is everyone so concerned with making the playoffs? Im a Suns fan but Im also a realist. Do people think that if they make the playoffs they could really get 4 wins out of 7 against the Thunder? Lakers? Mavs? Spurs? Hellll no.

I would argue that we would be the best team in the NBA if 'Melo can play unselfish basketball for 3 quarters sharing the ball with Nash then just take over the entire 4th QTR like how Kobe did when they won their titles.

Nash, Brooks
Hill, Brown
'Melo, Dudley
Frye, Morris
Gortat, ??

Melo hasn't done that his entire career what makes you think he can or will if we had him on our team? Also i am sick of hearing ESPN and TNT talk about how Melo is a prolific scorer... he hasnt won CHIT in his career he hasn't even won a scoring title for being this so called "prolific" scorer. He hasn't proved anything in his career. He talks crap about every coach he has had on the pro level.. 2 so far.. he never does and never will take responsibility for his struggles.

OH also on your SO proposed line up NO one beside Gortat and maybe.. MAYBE Morris plays D. Defense wins championships.

What is the point of having an all or nothing mentality?

Uh, what? Getting embarrassed in the first round would be nothing. It's a nothing or nothing mentality.

No pride can come from getting swept by the Spurs. If it's just going to be a repeat of 2008 playoffs, it would be better for them not to go at all.

so what now? tank from here on out? rest Nash and Hill, let the fans know that we dont give a crap about you guys or the city that we play for? we are still VERY much in the mix for the playoffs, no one here expects the suns to contend for the 'ship or even make it past the first round but since we are relatively competitive and can win games against some of these "contending teams" it makes sense to strive for something. Draft choice 14 or 16 doesnt matter its all the same.

Hard to win when TWO of your starters decide to take the day off.

Frye is averaging 10/6 on 39% shooting. He played directly at his season average tonight. We have no PF's that are worthy of starting on any NBA team.

The Suns do not care what we fans think, as they shouldn't. But, the difference between 3 draft spots is worth not getting smoked in the 1st round.

Something no Suns fan in his right mind should want if it means being dominated by the Spurs again.

losing in general is what no suns fan should want. What else would you have us do? Seriously what is a viable 2nd option right now?

I am with Harshey about this. I enjoy Suns` basketball again lately.

This game related, I believe that Spurs are the best team right now in the league, they have amazing ball movement and great teamwork. Ah well.

And I`ve started to change my opinion about Shannon Brown recently, he really raised up his game in the last 15-20 games.

If we go in with that mindset we will lose. Hell, we only lost by 7 to one of the top teams in the league, without our best defender.

Lets make the playoffs first, before talking about whether we will get knocked out or not. Playoffs are a different ride, a ride I want to be on every year.

Little difference.

We control our own destiny. We play multiple games against all the teams we are battling with, and if we win the majority of those, we'll probably squeak in. If we don't, then we won't.

As long as we keep winning the games we should.

Gentry continues to baffle me - he sticks with his pre-planned pattern of substitutions no matter what's going on out on the court. Drives me nuts. I also agree with the criticism of his timeouts, or lack of.

Pop is my favourite coach, followed by DCollins and Hubie. Too bad Dr. Jack can't be lured out of retirement.

Even when Brown plays good I still hate him - maybe I need to talk to a shrink.

Nash had a bad shooting in night - that alone could kill us.
Dudley should be yelling in the huddle - it's who he is, and if you'll notice, Gortat was nodding his head.

Tough one after staying so close but they're a better team, with a HOF coach. They're laying Suns ball better than we do

I know what you mean about Brown. Tome, he is the anti-team player. There seems to be very little ball movement when Telfail and he are on the court. My favorite Suns team in a long time was the 2010 team. I liked how they worked together. I would have rather changed Amare for maybe Scola or Lee, but that is just me hating on another anti-team player.

Although I never really liked Divac, his Yugoslavia team was a fun team to watch with the ball sharing.
