This day has been marked on all our mental calendars and for some of us, on an actual calendar. The trade deadline has infused us with some hope for tomorrow but forced us to give up some of the past. Tonight marks the return of Derek Fisher, but tonight he comes in differently not like when he came to Staples Center as a member of the Warriors or Jazz. There is a different aura this time around and I believe the players as well as the fans are all in tune on this. It will be difficult to see Fisher wearing the jersey of a squad that we have been keeping down for the past few seasons and will surely be a difficult opponent to overcome should we meet in the playoffs. The game itself is extremely important, the fact that Fisher will coming out in a Thunder jersey makes this game all the more interesting. This will be a clash of two squads desperately seeking the title. The Lakers may not be title contenders at this point but nevertheless Kobe sees no less.
