It's nearly impossible for us to make the playoffs as it is and if we do then we get swept and screw ourselves out of a potential franchise draft pick. No thanks.

Go Clippers!

And to all of you guys that get angry reading mine and other anti fans comments, rest assured your comments that we should try to win no matter what the scenario is just as myopic and annoying to us.

You know we are in the same boat, right? We may have different opinions on the short-term atitude of the team, but we still root for the Suns. For every finger you point, be sure there are other 3 pointing at you.

I wasnt finger pointing as much as bracing for all of the anti fan comments that follow every post when I mention the whole tank/rebuilding/missing out on an awesome draft as we are.

I shall not name names. But quite a few people here think that tanking/losing is irreverseable and contageous and the only option is to try to win at all costs. They have also stated repeatedly that the draft is a crap shot and that I was a fool to place so much emphasis on our pick next year even though every expert agrees it's going to be a solid and deep draft.

We got Marion with the 9th pick after a bad year. A couple years later we got Stoudemire with the 8th pick in the draft after a bad year. It's a shortened season, the team is depleted of talent and 2 of our best players are about to retire... The Nash era is over I was just hoping we could jump start the rebuild with a franchise level talent draft pick rather than be mediocre for a couple more years then have absolutely nothing when Nash and Hill are gone leading to slow painful rebuild. The saddest part is with Sarver getting so much bad press during the lockout and Nash and Hill getting ready to retire we are going to have a very difficult time competing for top tier free agents as well. Brace yourselves gentlemen..we have 5-6 years of crap coming our way when it could have been 2-3.

And that is my has been my point all along; I love winning but I also believe it takes planning, stategy, good scouting and a little luck to turn it around. It seems we have none of those with our feel good front office. I am honestly beginning to believe they are just clinging to Nash for fear of revenue loss when he is gone. It's about money and keeping butts in seats not about winning a championship. I would chose short term pain for long term success anyday over what we are about to go through.

You forgot to mention that we got Nash with the fifteenth pick, and Gortat with the fifty-seventh pick. Our two best players currently were not lotto picks. Oh and Amare was a ninth pick. :D

We won't be missing out on the draft this coming year.

As for the game,it will be tough, but if we can beat them again, it would be great. The best part is the game is on tv here, so at least I get to watch the game..

If the front office does something like make some trades on draft day to aquire more picks and/or move up i'm all for it. I can only hope.

I still love this team even though it probably doesnt sound like it im just terrified that we are going to screw up the draft in a year when its going to be one for the record books at the exact same time we should be planning our rebuild.

I would say GO Suns and win. I would like to see the Suns in the Play-Off even losing to the Thunder, but competing fighting rather then rebuilding all the time.

As someone told it's not the way to get the highest pick but the RIGHT pick and keep it until it develope into a good player.
- 1997 Stephen Jackson
- 2004 Luol Deng
- 2005 Nate Robinson, Marcin Gortat
- 2006 Rajon Rondo
- 2007 Rudy Fernandez
- 2009 Earl Clark

All the players drafted that didn't even get a good chance to improve here. So once more. It's not to be highest in draft rankings but be clever chosing and keeping. I would guess even if Suns would have nr. 1 pick he would be sold/traded/benched/whatever else..

Example of Wizards, Bobcats, Nets, Sacramento, Toronto as the way of rebuilding they are doing it since I remember and the result still is changing/drafting/trading. Nothing good at all.

But just mine opinion.

The first chick has a nice body but is kind of a butter face. For these forum standards, that is not acceptable as a "good luck charm".

I understand completely - to be a Suns fan is to live every day with the fear of the worst happening, self-inflicted

Well this is a message board dedicated to Suns fans....so yes- some of us do want to win.

There is nothing against the rules about having your own opinions and express them here, but since you are rooting for the Clippers, it may be more suitable and enjoyable to post on their own board. (game thread: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1171720)

There's also the tanking thread a few pages back. You don't see the anti-tankers crapping up that topic do you?

I'm certainly part of that "group" you are referring to...and I won't hijack this game thread with such conversation- atleast until the games finished ;). instead I'll redirect you to an excellent article written by Los Soles:

We need Brown and Telfair to step up again. Also, lets hope Dudley takes more then 2 shots tonight.
