I have a feeling we're gonna be in for a Chicago Bulls type surprise for that #1 pick this year.

Not sure why this just came to mind but when the Hawks got the second pick in the 2005 lottery their GM Billy Knight thought that meant they would have the 2nd pick in the 2nd round too even though they had the worst record. True story. The guy interviewing him was looking at him like....

How do the hornets have a better record than us with all their injuries. They must have best coach in history

Monty Williams is a good coach. I liked what he did last season in his first year. They took the Lakers to 6 games without David West and I really thought they could pull off the upset.
With a little bit of talent, they should be better next season, but I don't see them going back to the playoffs in a stacked conference full of teams who will miss the postseason with above .500 records

If we don't win it I'd like to see Minnesota win it. Davis + Love + Williams with Rubio, if they could find a way to make it work, would be sick.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Damn, NOH lost. They're bruised with injuries. Kaman, Ayon, Okafor, Ariza, Jack, and Gordon all didn't play last night.

Minny has no pick this year. They traded it to the Cliuppers, and then they traded it to the Hornets.

Re: The Tank Watch is in effect
Not to be a bearer of bad news but this team seems a lot better of late and has anyone looked at the upcoming schedule ? If Wall was playing better, they would have won some of those last few games.
As it is, when Nene and Booker are healthy, this roster doesn't really suck anymore. Specially if Martin add the missing ingredient at SF.
If you want to tank, you have to hope Wall doesn't pick it up and Crawford get cold again.

just a thought. maybe Wall is purposely assisting the tank b/c he knows it means more ping pong balls and a better shot at Davis. i wouldn't blame him and that may just be the smartest thing for Wiz.

It would appears that Charlotte is locked in to the top spot in the lottery and that we will do no worse than third. The question is is there a chance New Orleans "passes" us.

I'm worried. That's a disturbingly easy schedule. The only sure losses are the road games @New York, @Chicago and @Miami. There are at least 3 likely wins @Charlotte, vs Charlotte and vs Cleveland. The other 9 games are either road games against bad teams or home games against .500ish ball clubs. We could conceivably win any or them, and perhaps many of them if our "with Nene" numbers are to be believed. It's certainly possible to win 8 of our last 15. We're 4.5 games behind Sacramento. Is that enough cushion?

Re: The Tank Watch is in effect
I think we are cemented in at #3. No way NOH outperforms us these last 16 games..not happening with their schedule. And Nate...Kings have 17 wins and we have 11. We need to go 6-9 for our last 15 just to tie them and they would lose out. I think SAC wins at least 2 more with them having Bobcats and NOH on their schedule...also their last two games are against Lakers and Thunder. Both teams will be overlooking them going into the Playoffs.
Again..were set at #3 IMO. Let the lottery gods do their magic.
Quick note: The 3rd worst team in the Lottery is tied with the 2nd worst(5 times) for the most team to get the 1st pick...hmmm

I dunno. Eric Gordon is coming back soon, and if he returns to form, he'll give them a big boost.

While that may be a fun idea to entertain, If he is doing that on his own without instruction from EG, then we have a huge problem. No player is bigger then the franchise. Only players like Kobe approach that.
So if this is happening, then EG gets the credit or blame, not Wall. If Wall is doing this on his own, then he that is a huge problem.

That what I'm talking about. People better start hoping that Booker and Nene miss some games.

Re: The Tank Watch is in effect
wow.
Booker and Nene both didnt finish the game and they still won.
Tank alert. Stations everyone.
Secure the perimeter. Alert. Warning.
Now we will see if they really want to tank. If they do, they will sit Nene and Booker next game. They got a feel good win behind them. Now they can tank for a few more games.
