Does anyone else snicker a little bit when people say the Bulls are going to win the title this year? I can't help but think we know the Bulls playoff team as well as Bulls fans do. While there are some pieces that are different their team is built the same way that we were in the Deron and Boozer years.
I say that as long as Boozer and Korver are integral parts of their rotation, and Rose continues to be the prime scoring threat - they won't win a title. Yeah I know there are alot of differences between those jazz teams and the current bulls team, but there are also alot of similarities.
Bottom line of my opinion on this - Boozer and Korver will let the Bulls down to the point that they aren't legit contenders. They both suck on D and they both miss suck when it counts.
Also, Bulls fans freak out when I say this, but if those Jazz teams had been in the Eastern Conference they would have had the same number of regular season wins.

The Bulls have the best record in the NBA without Rose, the Jazz never finished top 4 in the West with that core. The Bulls have one of the two best defenses in the NBA, the Jazz were never more than slightly above average at best in those years. Korver rarely plays.

I like what I've seen from the Bulls and am quietly cheering for them to win the East. They have a great defensive-minded coach, something the Jazz never had.
Thibs seems to be getting pretty good production out of that entire team, including Korver and Boozer. I'm not sure about them "missing suck" when it counts; I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

As stated the Bulls, have the two missing pieces that the Jazz did not have. And a more defensive minded Coach.

We were way better offensively though! Yeah memo is not Noah, but Noah isn't memo either - you get what I mean. Boozer was a better offensive version of himself, as was Brewer. Korver is still Korver and him and Boozer suck when it counts.
Also it was stated that the Jazz never were top 4 in the West. I'm not going to go look it up...but pretty sure we a 50 win team (or very close to it) somewhere in there. Also the West in those years was ridiculously tough - also don't forget we did go to the conference semis. I don't think anybody thought we were going to win a title, and I don't believe the Bulls will this year either. I would put money on it. Miami beats them in the ECF, or Thunder beat them in the Finals (doubt they make it though)
