how do RED SOX still have leverage over CUBS?

Post#1 » by number15 » Fri Mar 30, 2012 8:01 pm

on the whole Theo Epstein deal..

I read that the Red Sox are still negotiating their settlement with the CUBS. They are talking back and forth about what they get as compensation.

what im wondering is, how does Boston still have any advantage here? Epstein is gone, and he's the president of the CUBS. nothing is gonna change that. Even if the Sox dont like what they r given in return, Epstein is a CUB.

so whats preventing Chicago from just throwing a weak minor leaguer at Boston and saying, "good day sir".

How does Boston have any leverage now that Epstein in President of Chicago.
