Great win...The Sixers clowned us 5 times this season. Lets hope this costs them the Atlantic....Great defense overall. John is still in his shooting slump but he was on lockdown mode defensively

It hurts but it isnt anything that will really take you out. Your fascia is the fiber that goes over your muscle. Best example is that thin layer you see on a chicken leg. I pulled my in my foot once by slapping it to hard on the court when coming to a stop.
Its like playing with a sprain. It heals slow. It hurts. But not really serious.

You beat me to-it, we owed Philly big-time. Amazing effort considering we were on a b2b.

Should we sigh Martin to a 1 year deal next season?

Not a serious injury. Takes time to heal and more about pain tolerance. That being said i would rest Nene because if you do overcompensate you risk injuring something else (i.e. Booker's tendinitis). I'd leave him behind on Sunday and see if he's ready to go Monday v the Bucks.

Not yet...Lets see what we do in FA and the draft. Definitely invite him to camp though.

If he keeps this up, they are going to need to do more then that.
Martin could really change what we need in the draft. The way they are playing the last 5 games, they can draft for the future and almost anyone would fit. They dont need to start whoever they pick. MKG would be a nice fit with Martin. Then Singleton could be a bench specialist.
MKG and another PG would work. Beal would be nice. Davis if they are lucky.
This team is looking a lot farther along then they did two weeks ago.

Depending on who we draft and acquire, sure, I'd be happy to have Martin as a 12th man on a vet-minimum contract.
I don't think there's any need to rush the decision though. He's not going to play his way into a long term contract by virtue of a 15-game performance at the end of the season playing for the 2nd worst team in the league.

Martin is pretty much the perfect size also. 6-7 220
He is 27 so he isnt to young and immature but not to old.
He has experience. I like him as a fit here. I think he is ready to break out in the NBA. Would be great if he was our lucky find like Lin was for New York.
20 pts 6 boards again a solid defensive team is something to build on.

Offensive/Defensive efficiency update:
There were 90 possessions in tonight's game. Therefore, our offensive efficiency was 107.7 and our defensive efficiency was 84.4. Plug those numbers into the averages to date, and it looks like this:
We have the 2nd best defense in the league with Nene on board, and our offense would rank 22nd. Our point differential would rank us as the 5th best team in the league. (Insert all the caveats about low sample size, yada yada yada.)

HELL NO! If the organization brought back Randy, I'd honestly might start rooting for another team. His system is holding Wall back.

Still evaluating. I'm sure there are better out there but the team seems to be responding to him and he does a good job. They seem to be building something. I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the session and see what happens.
Closing the door on him doesn't make any sense to me. He has done well since taking over. He seems to be a strong leader with a level head. He uses both a carrot and the stick pretty well to motivate the team.

That says both a lot about Nene and a lot about McGee. But it also speaks to how they fit with the rest of the roster. Nene is just a much better fit for what this team needed. He gives the team everything it needed to allow roll players to expand there games.
So far it is looking like a great move by EG. He didnt just clean up the last two knucklehead pieces, but he replace one of them with a stud. And in the process he deactivated Dray until he gets in shape. Those are strong franchise moves.

Who gives a crap. Its about winning not getting Wall stats. Wall needs to adjust his game. This is more of a winning style. Wall will learn to pick the lanes. This style presents different angles and lanes. He will learn as he sees it more. But first he needs to learn to not pick up his Fing dribble. Until he learns that, I wouldn't change anything for him. It would also help if he learned to shoot a floater like Rondo and other PGs do.
This whole system just changed. I have no problem giving Wall time to adjust. One thing he needs more then ever is a good outside shot. He is going to get more open looks so he needs to stop leaning on his shot so much. There was no one to learn away from on several of the shots he took.
But his defense looked good. And he was rebounding. He played a little bit of a Jason Kidd type game. Wall now has less pressure on him. Thats a good thing. Now he can slow down and learn the game instead of trying to outrun everyone. Experience and wisdom is what is on the plate for him. The offense is fine. They just scored 97 against a very good defensive team while holding them to 76.

Not sure Wittman gets consideration as our head coach year but he's done a commendable job. One thing is obvious. We've got a defensive identity so It's obvious we need a defensive minded coach. If the rumor about D'Antoni are true then Grunfeld is even a bigger fool than I'd even thought. He'd be a terrible fit with this group.

Lol, what a great game to miss I guess? Passed out on the coach just when the game started.
Waiting for the replay, but happy the Wizards got rewarded for their effort after those close hard fought losses.

Bet you Randy was happy about that
Now that I've processed the win I find myself completely baffled by the fact that Collins didn't play Turner in the 4th till the game was out of hand. He had a nice 3rd quarter and was actually knocking down shots. Surprising.

Re: PHI @ WAS 7 PM EST - Back to Back tank
Wall took off when Randy took over. He is in a re-adjustment with more of an emphasis to get the ball to the post, coupled with a shooting slump. That doesn't mean he can't thrice in this system like has was earlier this year.
Its adjustments. He seemed to get better as the game went on....He was more decisive with his passes because he's beginning to learn the guys he's playing with now. He must have been doing something right to have the best +/- out of the starting 5 and was absolutely dominant defensively
