I want to give it to the Cartier Kid but Nene and Bahda Beast played really well also.

Cartier closed it out but Nene really helped them get the lead to start with. A harder call then I initially though. Emotions following the game said Cartier

I could flip a coin and give it to either Nene or Martin. Both deserve it. At the end of the game they announced Buck and Phil gave it to Martin. Glen in the post game gave it to Nene.

Tough call.

This is definitely a tough call. Nene set the tone, Seraphin did the job early and Vesely and Cartier brought it home.

I'm going with Cartier Martin. There was a stretch late in the third/early fourth when he was the only Wizard to score in like 6 minutes of action. Philly kept threatening to make a run and climb back into the game and Martin answered them every time.

I'll go with Nene, for whom the Phixers had no answer. He ruined Hawes night, at one point going 9 for 10 shooting in yo face jumpers when the team needed a bail-out basket. I loved the game by Cart Mart, but he benefitted by not appearing in the scouting report, whereas everybody knew Nene was about all we had. I'll give a pat on the head to Janchise as well for essentially playing all of the minutes at back-up PF. Was Booker injured? I tuned in 2nd quarter and missed whatever caused him to not play the rest of the game.

Martin, we've been starved for production from the 3 -spot the entire season. Martin fit right in, hit shots, and was active on D. This Time around Martin should earn a spot with some team if- not the Wizards.

He has been playing all season. Just not here. He was in China. Then a few weeks in the NBDL. EG snatched him up.

I love me some C Martin. I only wish they also had Jeffers also.

Had Martin not signed overseas and Jeffers not gotten hurt with an ACL, we could have had better SF depth all year. That would have made a big difference. Gee seems to be settling into the NBA. I think Martin will stay also.

Like I said, it was close for POTG. The emotional play is voting Martin. But Nene paved the way. With both just getting added, it is kind of sweet to get challenged like this picking one of them.

Huge upgrade to the roster. Considering it was a strike year and deals needed to get done quick to start the year, EG actually navigated this pretty damn well. Short of Dray and Lewis, the house cleaning is now complete and it looks like the pieces fit pretty damn well together.

They finally have vet leader again who is actually on the court and who is scheduled to be on the team the next 3 years and it is a front court player. That totally changes the dynamics of the club. They just went from a guard centric team to the post centric team. That is a HUGE change. Also, this is no longer Walls team. It is Wall and Nenes team. Big difference. I would suspect both are now captains.

The ship now has direction. I hope this isnt slipping by many of you. This was a HUGE move by EG. He just totally remade the team in one trade. And Martin was a great addition as a cherry on the top that adds balance between the post players and the guards who were carrying the load. A good SF is what you need to win in the 4th quarter. Something this team has struggled with even with the addition of Nene.

News Flash. This team no longer sucks. Not good for the tank but good none the less.

Martin makes the second team much more effective. His shooting opened things up in the 2nd quarter, allowing the Wizards to jump out to a big lead with balanced scoring. More important, he closed the game with 13 points in 13 minutes, helping prevent the usual Wizards collapse, and he played tough defense and helped on the boards too.

Nene, Seraphin (esp. in 2nd Q), and Vesely also had good games. Wall shaky on offense (not using picks properly, taking long jumpers), but very good defense.
