Kemba shouldbe playing overtime. nobody wants to see DJ Augustin play in the clutch.

also if you cant see his passing growth since the ASG you're blind

DJA, I just can't understand showing any commitment at all to a guy who won't commit to us beyond this season.

So you call him fat and out of shape?

At least I'll admit when I'm trolling.

He's not fat and out of shape though. I do think he is carrying an injury though.

And who knows what's going to happen beyond this season, but its hard to play the commitment card when we drafted Kemba to replace him.

We drafted Kemba because we're going for ceiling potential and no one beyond him at 9 really looked like they could top him in that regard.

kemba was the obvious choice at 9, anyone else would have been a reach. i'm not a bobcat fan and have only watched the cats when the play the celtics and i'm not impressed at all by him, he looked very lost. I thought he would be more nba ready with his college experience. Still think you guys have a bright future and would just like to hear some opinions about him now that the season soon is over. what kind of pg is he? shooot first(westbrook/rose) or passfirst(rondo/nash). i guess DJ is gone so do you see him becoming a starting pg on a legit contender?

It's hard to gauge Kemba b/c of how bad the team is. Jason Kidd in his prime would look like an average PG for this team. That being said:

I think he's a pass first guard mainly b/c he knows he ain't big enough to play PG in the NBA putting up shots like Westbrook. He really does look for his teammates first most of the time. To me, he's like a mini-Baron Davis, enough Bball smarts to play facilitator but will green-light himself at the drop of a hat if his shot starts going in. In the "Rising Stars" game where he had teammates that could actually shoot and catch passes, he really looked like the 2nd best facilitator behind Rubio (Remember, Kyrie was doing his best Ray Allen impression).

He has trouble ranging his shots like somebody earlier said. Other than that, his jumper looks fine except for the not going in part. Looks very fixable. The best part of his game though is his intangibles. Always upbeat and hustling, feisty defender, rebounds extremely well for his size/position, just has a real nose for the ball. Stuff you can't teach. His handle is nice and he splits double teams in his sleep. He finishes layups better than DJA and as soon refs stop giving him the rookie treatment he's going to make a nice living at the freethrow line.

Your 2nd question is in regards to DJ, right? Personally he's worn out his welcome with me. He pouts too much for me. When he's shooting well, he can be a starting PG on a legit contender, sure. Terrible defender but that's not that big of a deal in today's NBA. I thought he would be a great fit for the Lakers, somebody like that.

thanks for the insight, i think the bobcats future looks very promising like i said erlier. the main reson for that is the moves Cho has made so far. he really is a great gm and the fact that MJ has given him permission to suck this year and next, it shows that they are thinking big picture. I'm sure cho will rape a few more gms over the next few years.

ah no sorry, its getting abit late here across the pond. what i meant was could you see the bobcats winning it all with Kemba or maybe it too early too tell. Personaly i dont like the thunders chanses of getting a ring with westbrook at the point. regarding DJA i agree with you, the lakers would be a great fit for him, any team where he is the 4th or 5th scoring option would fit him.

anyways i got one foot on the bobcats bandwagon already and in a few years i might be the biggest fanboy unless you play the celts :P just thought there were alot of hate on the gb and i needed to show some love

Thanks guy. Yeah, I don't get the hate on the GB. Hating on us is like kicking a puppy.

It's definitely too early to say whether Kemba is a championship caliber PG. I doubt he will be, he doesn't pass the eye test like CP3, Nash, or Rose but then again neither of those guys have rings either.

I think he's the guy we're running with for the future unless some god-tier point b/c available in the draft.

Kemba's worth won't be known until we get a coach in here that doesn't play favorites and actually knows what he is doing. Kemba put up really good #'s in a stretch of games when he got to start due to injury of DJA and Hendo earlier in the season.

15.3 points on 36.4% shooting
5 rebounds
4.1 assists
2.1 turn overs
35:17mpg

Poor shooting and more rebounds than assists from your lead guard is "really good #'s"?

Not to mention that he couldn't even double his turnovers with assists.

While the shooting and assists are pretty average, 5 rebounds a game is **** awesome for a PG, much less a tiny one

Yes, the only thing that stood out is the shooting % and the TO, and he has improved on his TO as the year has progressed.

He averaged 2.3 in Jan and 1.7 in March.

Of course he is also playing 6 less mins per game from Jan to March too.

Looks like Kemba will get his chance to start again. Hope he can make the most of it.

Against a team like the Raps with Calderon at the point and no real inside rim protection Kemba should 100% dominate. No excuses.

Not when you're on the floor with Mullens and other poor rebounders. Though I have to admit it's his most positive attribute.
