So you have Robinson over Bargnani in your books?
That is disrespectful to Bargnani. cmon now!
I take it as you believe that Robinson can be a 20pts + scorer in the NBA and reach all-star level
OK
He has a very nice shooting form, kind of reminds me of Aldridge when he shoots, he has more of a power game down low, gets into good position, finishes strong under the rim........these are the things that score points or get you to the line. So of course, I think that in his prime he can be a 16-20ppg scorer. But that's not it. He'll be getting those points while bringing down 8-10 rebounds every game. That's something Bargnani can't do no matter how much you wait around for him. That's called playing power forward the right way.

Opens his mouth, or waiting for Giorgio Armani to send him some clothing.

I like my Power Forwards a little taller though
He is wide (traps/shoulders), but he doesnt have that thick body on him ( I guess he can always get on that D-Wade H#H diet)
Don't worry about height man, too many people get caught up on it. If a guy can play he can play. Sure, he'll get blocked more often than a Bargnani, but T-Rob has the heart of a champion. He's that guy on the court that everyone hates guarding because you're gassed before you can even get a shot up. Plus, guys with that energy is contagious, everyone feeds off a T-Rob type. If Bargnani isn't scoring what is he doing?
Before the injury , He showed the intense D..He had it all together at the beginning of the season...How does Robinson cover Aldridge, Gasol, Amare, Bosh, Griffin and the list goes on...you believe with what you saw that he can be a 17/10 against those guys? The height does not matter as long as you have the length but does he? ?

Bargnani has never been an All-Star and never will be, book it. I tired of waiting for him to come around, he's been in this league for 6 years and hasn't made his mark yet. I rather Robinson at this point.

No love for Beal? I'd replace Drummond with Beal without a moments hesitation
Beal is without a doubt the second best prospect in this draft.
Anthony Davis
Bradley Beal
Jeremy Lamb
Andre Drummond/Harrison Barnes
Harrison Barnes/Andre Drummond
Jared Sullinger
Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist/Thomas Robinson
Micheal Gilchrist/Thomas Robinson
We are guaranteed to land one of these guys. Davis & Beal are the superstar talents. Lamb & Sullinger are the Tier 2 talents. Gilchrist & T-Rob are the Tier 3 talents. Barnes and Drummond are the wild card/gambles. They could end up in any tier for the most part IMO.
No player on our current roster should affect who we draft. We simply need a good talent. This is our last trip to the Top 5 for a long time so we have to make it count. That list is the order in which I'd probably be looking at them. I have Barnes and Drummond in listed between Lamb and Sullinger in the 2nd tier because I think with the skills they've got, there's no reason why they shouldn't at least end up there. However, as everyone already knows, they could not work out so they're my wild card players.

Kemba Walker had the heart of a lion too. I still have my eyes on other prospects (MKG, Drummond, Barnes, Beal, Lamb).
Edit. Of course Davis too just assume that's implied
With the 9th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft (Fail) the Toronto Raptors select...Damian Lillard!! (I hope)

You can ask the same thing about David West, Carlos Boozer, Blake Griffin, etc. If T-Rob measures out at a legit 6'10" in shoes he's set. Besides, if there's one thing he'll do, it's outwork his opponent.

Yea I left Beal out my mistake
But I want no part of Sullinger.
The Michael Sweetney factor scares me.

While I am tryin to stay on the Draft topic, let's not forget Bargnani was playing at an all-star level right before the injury hits.
He was playing at a much higher -level that first time All- Star Luol Deng, you can admit that.
Dont write him off for future all-star games

West, Griffin and Boozer have thicker bodies though no? and West ( I am giving him this year to fullly recover from the ACL to show more) - But playing with Chris Paul helped him a Lot ! even if he has that good J off the PnR

They're as thick as T-Rob, he's not a skinny guy.

Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread, Part 9
Since there is no way we can get Davis, I won't be happy unless we get one of the following;
Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist
Thomas Robinson
Beal
In that order. It's time to take this franchise to start gathering talent. I think Thomas would bring great leadership, he seems to work out alot and that takes discipline and commitment, he would expect the same hard work from others.
