Nets @ Kings

Post#1 » by pillwenney » Sun Apr 1, 2012 2:10 am

We're doing to need to sub early. Deron's gotta be licking his chops right now knowing how he'll be able to go after Isaiah. Let's make sure we make him a scorer, and don't let anybody else get going.

Looks like Tyreke will be good to go.

Solid start. The zone is working pretty well right now, and we're sharing the ball as much as we should be.

I was waiting for someone else to chime in.

I'm glad Cuz was taken out. His D has been horrific. Letting Johan **** Petro look like an all-star against us.

We've seen the greatest officiating ever the last two games.

When we need threes am I stupid for thinking Isaiah or jimmer should be on instead of letting Terrence Williams shoot em?

If NJ still had Kidd, Carter, Jefferson, and Martin, we win this game...

I would've like to have seen Cousins in there after the lead was cut to 7 with almost 4 minutes left. But I understand Smart sticking with the guys who cut the lead (Tyreke,Garcia,TWill,Donte,JT). I still think Cousins and Thornton who are your 2 best shot makers shouldve been in there instead of Garcia and Donte.

The Kings half court offensive execution has really been just plain bad lately. Some of it is play calling, most of it is nobody is moving. They need to take it back into the high post more, guys need to cut more. When this team doesn't run a consistent half court offense it's going to take all world games from Thornton, Cousins, and IT to pull it out if the other team is actually trying to win.

Even though the Evans-Garcia-Williams-Greene-Thompson line up started the comeback, Smart should have recognized they didn't have it in them to win the game. The starters should have been inserted with about 3 minutes to go.

And wow, this was by far Hayes' worst game for us ever. Tried to take it one-on-one twice--missed layups both times. Then missed a point blank layup off a nice feed. Then both times we tried to run it through him at the high post, he threw horrible passes and turned it over. ZERO rebounds in 13 minutes. ZERO. He is too short and too out of shape to keep up with the weakest Nets players. Defense was non-existant. No Net even knew he was there. And, it was when his garbage play started that we lost the momentum and never recovered. 0 points, 0 boards, 2 TO's, and this guy has a $22M contract? Get out of Sacramento, now. This guy doesn't even belong on the NBA.

I think our struggles offensive are pretty basic. we can't play tyreke, IT, and Thornton at the same time. we only have one ball and someone has to run the offense when all three are in at the same time the possessions get split up so much that our offense meant develop any rhythm. either tyreke Thornton needs to come off the bench. we need to start a small forward either Greene, salmon or Williams. we will deal with their poor play from that position but we can't deal with the fact that we can't get our offense started because we have too many cooks in the kitchen.

Somebody's ego needs to take the hit and be moved to the bench for the good of the team. it isn't like that player won't get the playing time. its just simply too many ball pounders on the court at one time.
