I read somewhere (likely stltoday) that Carp returned to training. Can't be sure of this though. Anyways better to keep him fresh for the business end of the season. La Russa did a great job of managing Carpenter, don't know how capable Matheny is.

Ugh, looks like big tropical storm out of no where here. Winds are 26 mph to 44 mph. Usually in like Florida you get the news coverage on TV about this. But here in Vietnam, I check the news stations and see nothing about the storm.

usually anywhere you get news coverage about a tropical storm. but especially florida because more times than not it ends up being a hurricane.

Finally got power back in my building. Was blacked out for a good 5 hours. The night wasn't a total lost. Spent the evening downstairs at the bar shooting pool with all my neighbors in the building. The manager offered free Chivas Whiskey with the largest bottle I've ever seen in my life to everyone. A bad night turned out to be a lot of fun.
