I'm convinced that it has to be fatigue. Most telling is that tonight he was getting good looks. He's been getting good looks for the last two months. He's just not making shots. Taking 7 three pointers in one game is the other indicator. And he pretty much gave the reason that we all know he's still shooting despite being inefficient, he's stubborn. Then he comes back and explains, that's why he's won multiple championships. That's the mentality that gets teams over the hump. I for one am going to be optimistic. Here's to hoping that Mike Brown gets the hint. Drop Kobe's minutes to around 30 for the rest of the season, give the extra minutes to Goudlocke. I'm giving Kobe the benefit of the doubt.

Though I didn't watch the game, did Kobe actually try on D this time?

There's an opportunity. On the 22nd the Lakers play the Thunder at home, then they get a nice rest until the 26th against Sacramento. If they'd like to they can rest their starters (if the 3rd seed is wrapped up) until the 28th. Five days of rest after a full playoff type game against OKC on the 22nd is just what they need.

He started out really hustling on D, made a lot of nice plays. Then the missed shots got to him and he was more focused on ending his spree, understandably.

not according to Mike Brown

"His body's in great condition," Brown said. "But he's kind of a freak of nature. When he's 52, his body might be in peak condition."
