No that's even worse. Weddings cost a lot. For most cultures, giving money as wedding present is appropiate.

The last wedding I went to, I gave money and wine/champaigne glasses. I figure they use it at their wedding or some special occassion and the glasses don't break my bank. But money is always appreciated.

If the groom smokes, get a cigar. If the groom drinks, get a nice bottle of cognac or whiskey.

For the bride... let your mom or gf figure that out. :roll:
