82 games stats must not be updated. There have been about 50 games played this season. Over 30 games, that would be 5 minutes a game of that lineup. Over 50 games the lineup would just have to play together for 3 minutes a game. That's like 1 minute a quarter for the first 3 quarters.mavs7777 wrote:og15 wrote:50 minutes is not really significant at all, like someone said and posted, at least 150 minutes at this time in the season is necessary to make any inferences.
There are plenty of teams that have 0/1 only lineup that has been used for 150+ minutes.

Proof that you can't read too much into this stuff.

It's actually just proof that the OP took his numbers before 82games updated them. For example with the updated numbers, the Clippers best 3 lineups Regardless of minutes played are in order:
Paul-Billups-Butler-Griffin-Jordan
Paul-Foye-Butler-Griffin-Jordan
Billups-Foye-Butler-Griffin-Jordan
All having played over 70 minutes this season with the top 2 having played over 270 minutes each.
It's not any sort of complicated stat, it's just which lineups are producing the best, and for most teams it's the lineup that has their best and/or most effective players.

It is. I would suggest to use at least 150 min, that makes 3 min per game for about 50 games.

Yep. Backups play of a lot of their minutes against backups, so...
This is why IMO the +/- is 99% useless.
