Never thought I'd agree with a post stating this at the beginning of the year, but T-Rob has skyrocketed up my board. I absolutely love the guy for the Raptors. There are only three people I have in front of him and that's Anthony Davis, Brad Beal and Jeremy Lamb.

Wow, mcdyess comparison? That's a consensus 2nd pick then lol.

Pts/reb/blk/stl (Mcdyess best 3 years)
21/11/2/1+
19/8+/2/1
21/12/1/0.6

That's who he reminds me of too. I'm not sure if he'll be as good a defender but he's very similar in terms of size, athleticism and face-up game.

Same. Seems like John Calipari thinks highly of T-Rob's game.

Except that comparison doesn't hold water, Mcdyess was much more skilled.

Robinson is 6'10 with 7'1 reach, moves like small forward, is very athletic, can shoot the midrange, very strong, rebounds the ball as good as Blake Griffin, very good defender, he has great motor, plays with allot of pride...

McDyess was good defender, very athletic, strong as hell, but I don't remember McDyess ever being as quick as Robinson, or having the ball skills Robinson has.

T Rob can only play the PF in the NBA

He cannot be the starting 4 on our team, it is one thing to dominate the Sullinger and likes..it is another to go against the Griffins, Aldridges, Boozers and them on a nightly basis with his game.

If we were to draft him it would be to replace Ed Davis then,

Would we draft T.Rob to be a rebounder that knocks down the occasional J? as Ed Davis is just unable to do so consistently

Would be a Waste of a pick in my opinion.

For this draft we should purely focus on a wing unless of course we win the AD sweepstake!

All three top power forwards .. Davis, Robinson, Sullinger... would start right away ahead of bargnani and Ed Davis.

Just as Portland passed on Michael Jordan for Sam Bowie because they already had Clyde Drexler at his position?

The bottom line is, if you think TRob has higher potential than any of the wing players, you draft him. To me, the only wing player that I would consider to possibly have similar potential would be Lamb.

I'm still not seeing MKG as top 3 pick worthy. There's not a lot of precedence for a wing player to be drafted that high when defense is his calling card.

Robinsson is said to be very good defender and watching him against Ohio his post defense looked good...

The McDyess that entered the NBA was relatively raw.

It's going to be SUPER exciting watching T-Rob and The Brow go head to head tonight. I hope the coaches don't cheat us out of that match-up.

Lol when was the last time the best college player went against the second best for the title? Bird vs. Magic in '79? Laettner vs. Webber in '92?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Calipari put Terrence Jones on TRob. He matches up better from a strength perspective.

You're probably right. I hate how strategy takes away from the best match-ups.

Being compared to Humphries in College is pretty good.

Didnt K-Hump lead the B10 in Scoring and Rebouding as a Freshman ? ( I believe it was the first time in the conference history A frosh did so)

But NCAA is not quite the NBA, is it? :)

It will be Davis-Withey, and Jones-Robinson I imagine.

Davis will help against TRob however.

Kansas plays an amazing variation of the triangle and two defence while having two excellent post defenders. They are going to make almost every PF/C they focus on look worse than they normally would.

(keep in mind when analyzing Sully and DAvis' game.

Aren't Tyler Zeller and John Henson better and longer defenders than the likes of Blake Griffin, LaMarcus Aldridge, Carlos Boozer and Chris Bosh? Because Thomas Robinson had no problem dismantling the Tar Heels front court in the Elite 8. There aren't that many bigs like T-Rob who can gracefully harness that strength playing inside-outside and outside-inside. He's shown he can drag the taller defender all the way to the top of the key or foul-line, and knock down that 18-foot jumper with ease. Tyler Zeller had absolutely no answer for T-Rob shooting jumpers over him or putting the ball on the deck and blowing by him for up-and-under lay-ups. He destroyed Perry Jones III in the two season match-ups as well. I'm not T-Rob's biggest fan, but he's shown he can play with the big boys giving up inches to them. There should be no reason to doubt T-Rob's size. The guy plays with heart. And that's all that matters.

Picking T.Rob over Barnes/Lamb would not "quite" be like Bowie over MJ(GOAT), unless you believe T.Rob is that talented! which I dont,

I totally agree with your MKG statement!

It depends, is this pre-Kardashian Hump, or post-Kardashian Hump? If it's post-Kardashian Hump that's a pretty damn good big man.

If Kansas some how wins, and T-Rob manages to out play Davis then he will solidify himself in the #2 slot in the draft even if the Raptors are there.
