I would go for Royce if he was on the board. Bye-bye Turk. We could then roll into the 2nd round looking for a PG or C.

we don't have a draft pick in the 2nd rounder this year. Pretty sure we traded it to Cle for Harper.

Than why are they showing it in those mock drafts? I hope we still have ours.

I think they're just saying lets take the best talent over the biggest need.

If Orlando finds a backup point guard and a backup center in the draft and then make most of their moves in FA, I'll be happy. However if are GM is going to pick these guys, I will be a little worried. I know a lot of people think that Dwight is going to get traded during the summer, but it's all in the Organization's hands. They can make this a successful summer by making smart decisions.

I don't think we trade Dwight, and I hope the only moves we make is cap clearing moves. something like J-Rich for a second rounder. stuff like that.

BPA = "Best Player Available."

The point is that drafting for a roster rotation is ALWAYS a terrible idea. A GM must ALWAYS draft the best player.

Marquis Teague is unlikely to be BPA. He looks to be a d-leaguer for a couple years before he catches on as a deep-bench guy. Tony Wroten has more of an NBA body and a game that fits a middle-bench rotation. NBADRAFT.net has Orlando slotted to take Andrew Nicholson, and GM Smith does like PFs in the draft. So ...

I see Orlando trading up in this draft. The Magic first plus a guy like Duhon or Richardson-1 should help Orlando get to something like a #15 pick. If that is enough for Kendall Marshall, that would be a good trade for GM Smith. Orlando needs a young PG to develop as a future starter.

We have our 2012 2nd round pick. We traded the 2013 (after next season) to Cleveland for Harper.

I would trade everyone not named Dwight/Ryan/Jonathan to get a pick high enough to draft Kendall Marshall ..

Yup. We would have to include a first rounder just to get rid of Duhon, so forget about a top 15 pick.

At this rate though, we may end up with the 15th pick, lol.
