Let's also remember that T-Rob was a bench player last year, who Self had play behind the Morris twins. He can still grow alot.
Due to his explosiveness, the Blake comparisons are closer then peak West. But peak West was all star level so its still better than Bargnani either way.

Yeah he's definitely more laterally quick than Blake, although like you said, Blake has much better hops. Everything else is eerily similar to Blake with T-Rob having the advantage length wise, and man-wise since Blake is a straight b**ch! But they both go HAM every second and that ain't not half bad
Most def. TBH, blake is a little over rated, considering where he could be with his physical gifts. This is something people are beginning to take notice now that a superior two way talent in CP3 is playing with him. If Blake can give you 20 and 10 with only a foundation of athleticism and aggression, Trob can give you the same.

But that's his downside.
No thats his backside.
Lowry's upside is mental and psychological.

I won't be mad if we draft Robinson. If it means we get rid of Bargs its a bonus.,

And Blake miraculously grew an inch and a half in the platform shoes he measured in at the combine. T-Rob has to at least be the same height as the 6'8" Blake Griffin. But anyone who watches NBA ball knows rebounding is about position and timing (see: Kevin Love), two traits T-Rob has in abundance.
T-Rob should use Blakes kicks at the combine, he'd be a 7 footer.

Robinson is a star in the making. Ive already stated how big of a fan i am of his, i find hes the mkg of big men. I also think this kid will be a leader, his team isnt very good but he willed his team to victories every night. I personally think this club needs to part ways with Bargs or have him play off the bench. You cant preach defense and intensity then play Bargnani 35 min
You need a guy like Robinson he would be PERFECT beside JV. It might not be as good as JV/A.Davis but its close. I personally think Robinson is desitined for 20/10 type numbers for his career if he stays healthy. He will improve and he has the work ethic and determination. I personally think that if Robinson is available when we pick we need to draft him. The only players id take above him are Davis, maybe MKG or Lamb. Id be pissed if we took someone like Drummond over Robinson.

Im certain Robinson will be picked top 4 so raps need to tank! Getting the 7th pick would be really dissapointing unless Lamb is available.

Just looking at Anthony Davis I can picture him in a Hornets uniform for some reason.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has a stutter.
This is not surprising to anyone who knows or has spent time around him, but it's probably news to most reading this column. You might've seen him conduct an interview on television or listened to him on radio and thought he must be shy in front of cameras or uncomfortable around strangers, but that's not it. He has an actual stutter that was diagnosed at an early age and has been noticeable for as long as his mother can remember.

That explains his interviews. I actually thought he was shy.

I believe it would be advantageous for us to select this Davis fellow.

Exactly what I've thought from the first time I saw him in the youtube interview, thought he had a speech disorder right away. I remember there's a dumb poster here saying he must be dumb academically because he talks a certain way, SMH at that poster.

Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread, Part 10
I am happy that T Rob is gaining some steam here. He still has room to grow in the post and is obviously bothered by long defenders, but he does bounce back.
This year draft has to be one of my favorites. The main reason is that the top three guys are all warriors. A.Davis, MKG, TRob are all out players who you go to war with. Raps need more of that and it fits the Casey mentality he trying to instill. I think we should have a realistic shot at one of them which means we are heading in the right direction.
Tyshawn Taylor and Fab Melo would be awesome second rounders if available.

I didn't see anything out of Robinson today, that should preclude us from drafting him. He fought a near constant double team today. I think he would blend nicely with JVAL. If he is BPA nab him. I dislike Sullinger's lack of above the rim play, more than Robinson's tendency to force bad shots, even if he is a bit bigger and stronger. Sullinger kind of reminds me of Oakley.

Coach Calipari leaves your potential Number 2 pick-MKG on the bench in the last 2 minutes on offense in the biggest game and moment of his coaching career: That tells you everything you need to know about MKG, scouts won’t forget that one! I rest my case
!
T-Rob separated himself (and what a separation) from MKG though I still believe Barnes or Lamb could climb to the 2nd pick after the workouts over T-Rob.

Did you hear what John Calipari had said if Anthony Davis was allowed to take 20 shots a game instead of being the fifth guy with the most shot attempts on the team? What Coach Cal said to Andy Katz was that he truly believes Davis got much more to show offensively. It's not out of the realm either because if you think about it, Anthony Davis has shown glimpses of creating his own own offense in the post whether that'd be a turnaround jumper, a 5-foot jump hook over both shoulders with either hand, left or right, can pop the 15-foot jumper with fluidity, and handle the rock rim-to-rim gliding through a series of defenders in front of him before he gently finger rolls. Yeah, he had his turnaround jump hook rejected by Jeff Withey tonight, but when looking at the bigger picture, commentators and former NBA players have been raving about his offensive potential, especially that feathery touch on his jump hook. He gets great extension on his release over his shoulder which seldom gets blocked. We're talking about a prospect here who's only been playing in his 6'10" frame well under 2 years, and to see him show the kind of fundamentals you want from a big man? That's darn impressive.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

You would worry if he doesn't have a jump shot, but he already shows he can shoot in freshman season, that's a huge plus to his offensive repertoire

T-rob had a slow 1st half but picked it up in the 2nd. I'm not sure where to put him at or who to compare him to. He's not blake griffen but he has more bounce than west. T-rob is those Tristan Thompsn, hickson, Jason thompson types. I think his max is Amare. AD will look real good on a good team. The better the players around him, the better he'll look. My opinion on MKG hasn't changed. Tjones will be a good player too. Said that last yr.

In Raptor Ball I Trust

If Trob some how starts falling watch the Spurs try to pick him up. He's a typical Spurs pick a guy that flies under the radar even though he's been beasting it. Why isn't he a 2nd overall pick in drafts esp with bad teams like the Wizards in check.

I'm good with Terrence Jones, if we drop trade down for him based on where he's slotted

Heh, that makes me like him more. Stutters can be hell to deal with, especially at school.

You have to remember he's not a go to guy type of player yet, and also plays with 5 potential lottery picks so you can't always expect him to drop 20. He is a solid and consistent 2 way player, and plays within the game and at 17 he's got enough time to improve on the offensive end, that solid block he just had is as good as hitting a dagger on the offensive end, that block toke out Kansas out of the game pretty much.
MKG is 18 and will be 19 later this year.
