Jonas Valanciunas wins Eurocup Rising Star award.

Valanciunas joins Victor Claver of Power Electronics Valencia, Milan Macvan of Hemofarm Vrsac and Donatas Motiejunas of Benetton Basket Bwin on the list of player to win the prestigious Eurocup Rising Star Trophy. He also becomes the youngest player to receive the honor. Now, Valanciunas aims to join Claver, whom he will square off against in the Eurocup semifinals, as the only players to lift the Eurocup title after becoming the Eurocup Rising Star. Valanciunas will finish his spectacular Eurocup season by leading Rytas into the 2012 Eurocup Finals in Khimki, Russia on April 14 and 15.

Which player from 2012 draft would fit best with Jonas? Is it Davis, Robinson, Marshall...?

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Where is the offensive punch in that frontcourt? Not that I wouldn't love it but just saying

I truly believe AD and Val would be able to learn how to score in the NBA with their skill set, BBIQ and passion for the game. They have the size have been playing BB for their entire lives. Both have shown they have a nice touch around the rim and like Bosh both could develop a jumpshot through practice and coaching from our staff.

Pairing hm with Val would be amazing, they perfectly complement each others game.

I seriously don't see Davis as a franchise player... he's more like Chandler

Davis or Robinson both would fit well. With Davis he gives you extra length in the paint to block and alter shots. With Robinson he gives you more muscle in the paint and one on one post defense. Both can impact the game but Davis doesn't have to score to actually be a factor in a game.

Bingo, but they're offensive game will be nothing like Barg's they'd play more like traditional big men.

I think it's smart to draft a player who would create a great duo with Jonas, so it's Davis or T-Rob.

And that's all I could ever ask for. What has Bargnani's magnificent offensive game given us? Not much...

If we do end up drafting a player like T-Rob or Davis, the best move afterward would be to somehow trade Bargnani for one of the swingmen in this draft.

If I'm BC, I'm calling every win-now team that has a lotto pick (ie. Milwaukee, Utah, etc) so I can get me a Jeremy Lamb as well.

Imagine coming out of this draft with one of T-Rob or Davis, AND one of the swingmen (Lamb, Barnes, Beal, etc).

Which is something that will help us in the long run. Efficient scores in the paint leads to more FTA, which leads to more points. With Davis and Val you have two bigs who score at a high efficiency, get fouled and convert their FTs.

C. Valanciunas/ Amir Johnson
PF. T-Rob/ Ed Davis
SF. James Johnson/ Linas Kleiza
SG. Beal/ Derozan
PG. Calderon/ Bayless
Is that good? :/

We should amnesty Calderon and sign 2 of the three PGs available in free agency:

Lin, Nash and Dragic

If we somehow get the #1 pick and draft Davis, Colangelo should do everything in his power to land Marshall as well. With Marshall, we won't have to worry about Davis or Valancinas getting their offense. We'd be Clippers east (in a good way).

You guys forget that we have 2 second round picks this year. This draft is very deep and you can still get decent talent that would be in the first round in the early to mid second round. There are a few wing players and point guards that could be steals that late in the draft.
