Well, he is right, he didn't ask to be traded to NJ...... And he is right that he doesn't owe them anything......

I'm glad we got Favors and Kanter for him, though.......

i almost feel bad for him. he thought he was playing poker and didn't want to show his hand before he knew what he could win. unfortunately, he didn't realize he was wagering the lives of his, and his family.

but, part of the life of a pro athlete. like i said, ALMOST.

Deron has learned his lesson on being a diva during his season and a half in New Jersey.

Bring 'im on home, I say.

I'm sort of indifferent at this point. Really glad he's gone, but don't wish him well or ill in his career elsewhere. Talented guy who will be top-5 at his position for a number of years, so he'll find a soft landing.

Something tells me he'll reach "peace" with all of this when he's making $20 million in the city of his choice next season...

Deron has been a realist in New Jersey. The team sucks, Billy King is horrible and they have no lottery pick or hope of landing a big name to pair with him. The Nets have crashed. Deron and Wallace need to leave when they have the chance.

Can someone please Photoshop a hybrid picture of Deron and Dwight Schrute with the title "Assistant to the General Manager" under his face?

Everybody wants an honest athlete until they get one.

But seriously, Billy King might have lost his NBA career with this debacle, especially if Favors keeps getting better and Eron plays the next 10 years in Dallas.

As much as I used to love and support Deron, it's becoming hard. Treating Hayward like ****, then the Sloan turmoil. He's thrown his team under the bus before too. The guy could probably be a top 5-7 player if he had the right attitude. Seriously what is up with his .409 shooting this season? In 07-08 he shot .507, and he was a career ~.470 shooter before turning a net. Seriously looks disinterested out there. You got an obligation to perform when you're paid $16.4M. He didn't specify the Nets, but boy did he ask for it. How can one feel for someone who's been promised over $100M in just NBA salary to play a game and has a gold medal too? I'll still follow him cause I know he'll get over it once he leaves, but I really disapprove of how he's handled this situation.

It's hard to defend King, though there was a pretty good chance of having a Howard/Williams duo, so it may have been worth the risk. I'm not sure the Nets have the people in place to get the most out of Favors either. I'm not sure their #3 pick this year would have done much for them either. The franchise is a wreck had they done the trade or not, atleast they took a chance. They certainly failed if Williams walks (most likely), but the man was ballsy to give it a shot. He would be the GM of the year had he been able to pull this off.

if dwill re-sign with NJ, they can still be a good team: Dwill, brook lopez, gerald wallace gerlad green marshon brooks humphries, a new arena @brooklyn, and maybe Dwgt howard next year. Assistant GM is ridicoulous......

Deron is 100% right. I don't see how you people don't see it. What, is he supposed to say how much he loves it until he takes his talents elsewhere? Why wouldn't you do it? Hell, I did it. I get paid more money to not be in Utah. Does it mean I hate you?

No, it means I'm better than you. Anyways......

Why should he pledge allegiance to a company that hasn't really done him any favors? He signed with Utah. He gets this type of opportunity once in a career if it's the type of career a truly elite player has. We can whine about the state of things as much as we want, but there has never been a more fortunate CBA for a team in a metro with only 1 million people than this one. Had the Jazz known about this CBA they wouldn't have done the trade. Deron got screwed by Lebron and Bosh and it's ok for him to still be a bit surly.

Where you intoxicated when you made this post? Having a hard time understanding your post. what does LeBron and Bosh have to do with Deron? And how does leaving Utah make you better than Utahns?

D.Rudd is delusional if he thinks that because he had a better opportunity in California, it means he's better than Utahns. LOL. What that really means is that California has a higher percentage population, so more job opportunities are available.

California D.Rudd is better than Utah D.Rudd, because he couldn't get the same opportunities. Thats it. That or his California employers have lower standards...

But to say that he's "better than you" just shows you what an ego the guy has. You can't blame the state because he couldn't make what he felt he was worth here. Thats just silly. There are plenty of successful people in Utah, as well as far less poverty stricken people per capita.

You would think ppl would realize from his previous posts that DR often posts tongue in cheek so to speak... As far as Deron I would love to have him back with the Jazz and always appreciated his honesty which I found refreshing in a pro athlete. Even if I didn't/don't always agree with what he says.
