Kings should have won this game but they choked on FTs. Gortat had his worst defensive performance in his career.

Yes he did, but they kept the ball out of his hands and kept posting up Cousins.

He did pick up 2 rebounds, 2 assists and a block in the 4th!

But hey, keep trying to trash the man all you want, even our announcers said Williams was terrorizing the Suns, and he did.

Sac-town f'd up by starting Green over Williams big time. Greens only stats till halftime were 3 fouls. If Williams started, they wouldnt have been down 12 in the 1st quarter.

Nah I'm not trashing him. I was actually impressed with his court vision and athleticism.

I wouldn't be upset if we signed him this off season

Be more clear. Has Gortat had a worse defensive performance? If so when and against who?

I may be wrong, but didn't Gortat have nine defensive rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. If this was his worst defensive game, I want to see his best.

I think it was more so the fact that he fouled out, all the while letting his man (Cousins) have a career night of 41 points.

That is only if you can prove that every basket made by Cousins was the result of Gortat's defense. Gortat played six less minutes, so someone else must have been guarding DC. Then all the switches.

DMC had 38 points the other night against Houston, and he had Dally and Camby guarding him. Both are decent to good defenders. Cousins is a hard cover.

Gortat was +10 over the course of the game. Not sure how much of the time he was matched up against Cousins, but whatever combo matched up against Gortat, their cumulative time against him was -10. Gortat actually scored more efficiently than Cousins, and the Suns had 5 starters in double figures, while the Kings had 2.

One of those two players gets headlines. The other one was part of the more efficient team that won the damn game.

GOOD MOVE: Coach Alvin Gentry seems to know the exact moment to reinsert Nash into a ball game. The veteran guard played only 32 minutes tonight, but orchestrated the game to perfection when he was on the floor.

NBA.com seems to think Gentry makes good substitutions -_-

Defending a player in a 5on5 game is never a one man responsability. May be, and just may be (I mean, pretty sure so), if Gortat had somebody not called Frye besides him, may be Cousins had not got 41...

Then how come whenever Redd comes into the game, the opposing SG always lights us up. Or when Hakim Warrick comes in the opposing PF scores everything?

Is it just a coincidence?

Maybe if Cousins didnt hook with his off arm every other time he made an offensive move we could have slowed him down more. Did you guys see that crap? I'm not normally one to whine about refs playing favorites but just wow. Don't get me wrong the guy is a physical specimen but come on.

Then when they finally did call him for 1 he had the nerve to act like the ref was out to get him!

Jimmer looks completely lost and frustrated; I think hes going to be the new poster boy for great in college horrible pro.
