If Tyreke has an average game we win this. Unfortunately he was in hyper-scrub mode for most of the night. Amazing how a guy so talented can be so mentally out of it so often.
On another note Cousins is an absolute destroyer. Holy hell.

Holy heck! Our bench sucked balls. Only TWill & Whiteside had a good night off the bench.
Did we really started Greene at SF? How come JT played few minutes? Why Reke had a bad game?
It looks like IT & Cousins were our main guys tonight. Wow! Cousins with 41-12! IT with 25-7!
FTs & 3PT shooting was awful tonight. Got out-rebounded. Pfffft.
You should have seen the bench he put in at first. Guys that have never played together and Jimmer as the lone shooter and he couldn't throw a rock in the ocean tonight.

Greene is not a SF. JT looked off tonight and left everyone and their mother open for easy looks, plus he picked up some cheap fouls. Reke didn't play as bad as the score sheet would indicate.
3rd quarter the Kings played some shut down defense, coincidentally Chuck Hayes was "demoted" to actually playing alongside Cousins. As the game went into the 4th guys started getting tired and the Kings inability to hit anything outside of 8 feet killed it.

Cuz was just a beast tonight!
I.T played well although he had some lapses in the 4th....
Reke decided to disappear tonight......
T-will played well again! if given the green light and minutes like reke, this guy can produce what reke averages per game...... Its still a small sample but i love this signing...

I have no will to do the work to find out, but how many times have Evans and Cousins both gone off in a game? I wonder because it seems like when one has a dominant game the other struggles. I also wonder what the Kings record is when both are dominating.

He shot 30.8% from the field. That was his first game where he shot lower than 45.5% from the field in almost a month.

T-Will continues to impress. From a 10-day contract guy to being better than all of our SF's combined, Petrie finally got it right this year after his horrendous Salmons and Hayes acquisitions. A pretty 16-6-5 on 70% from the field I will take any day.
Hayes is easily among the worst players in the entire NBA. This isn't even about his $22M contract, which is vomit inducing. If he could only make a layup, play some defense, hustle once in a while, stop turning the ball over and making us a worse team whenever he steps on the floor, I'd be content. He had better be amnestied this offseason. We haven't had a King this bad since Sean May or Garrett Temple.
Did you WATCH THE GAME? Seriously, you spout off about stuff that literally just happened, check the 3rd quarter when he played ALONG SIDE Cousins. Notice the point total that unit gave up before Nash went all world. Many of the things you ask for are happening when put into the RIGHT ROLE. Still choosing the exact wrong time to spout I see, you spouted, Smart did the exact thing he should do with Hayes and it WORKED. Yes he was clearly frustrated and forced shots until they went in, but the hustle and defense was there in the 3rd. Literally right after you argued a point you once again got completely proven wrong in short order.
Hayes is a role player, and much like a volume scorer in JJ Hickson when role players are put in the wrong position on the floor they look really, really bad and they do indeed hurt their team. That's why I hate seeing him used the way he is, he is hurting this team at times. It's amazing how when used correctly, with the right unit, Hayes went from a liability to a vital cog in a comeback. That's a problem with Smart, he needs to realize why Hayes is here and what he should be used for. Hayes isn't here for production, he's here for the reasons you state. When used as a backup C off the bench, this team needs production from him, Hayes has NEVER been a production player. Even his best season last year wasn't all that productive outside of his passing (which he is nearly replicating his final month last year per minute since being used as a passer).
And prepare to be proven wrong again, turnovers? Yes, some mishaps for sure in this game, but he has the 4th highest assist to turnover ratio on the team which is above the team average for the year. That would probably tell any coach with some sense that he should probably be used as a passer more, and a pick and roll/post up player less.

Re: Kings vs Suns
It had nothing to do with being mentally out of it for Reke. This happens every single damn time we go up against a team that packs the paint like the Suns did last night. It totally takes Reke out of the game.
