Draft trade proposal
Im a Kings/Sixers fan wanted to see what you thought about two separate potential deals since you have an abundance of talented bigs on your roster.
Iggy and the 18th for Jefferson and the 12th..Self explanatory, your getting a top 30 player and still get to improve the roster with 2 first rounders.
(Assuming you don't make that deal)
Enes Kanter, Raja Bell and the 12th pick for Tyreke Evans and Jimmer Fredette.
Your backcourt would get an immediate spark. Jimmer would be a hometown favorite, and Tyreke would be able to elevate his game to star status in a new winning environment. Favors would recieve increased minutes as the main big off the bench and you can draft a potential small forward for depth such as Perry Jones or Terrence Jones.
C. Jefferson/Favors
F. Milsap/J.Evan
F. Hayward/Draftpick
G. Tyreke/Burks
G. Jimmer/Harris

I wouldn't do the first one, I would do the second.

Re: Draft trade proposal
Jefferson for Iggy swap is doable, but no reason for the Jazz to swap picks as well. Jazz would already have to take on Iggys longer deal, while Jefferson has been more productive and is cheaper.

I guess it just depends on your opinion of Tyreke and/or the direction of this team. I think he's fantastic.

Re: Draft trade proposal
Funny because I would probably do both....
Although I really, really hate to give up Kanter this early in his career, especially for a guy like Reke who I don't like.
I would either do both or I would do neither, but not one or the other

Re: Draft trade proposal
They're both reasonable deals compared to what we usually see on here. I'd also do the first...Kanter, to me, has too high of a ceiling - I don't want to forfeit the potential of a hall-of fame big man. Not that 'Reke is a scrub, I'd just rather build around the front court.
Love Iggy...he'd give us a talented veteran presence that can carry the scoring load until he's older and our young guys are ready to take the reigns, and even then he could be that seasoned role-player veteran solidifying the ranks of a solid bench.

I only do deal #1 as I dont trade Kanter unless I get Rondo. Kings dont do #2 trade either as Kanter/Cousins is not a good combo...too slow and short. Sixers do deal #1 i think along with Jazz.

Re: Draft trade proposal
Well first, how does one become a kings and sixers fan out of all teams? Just curious
As for the deals, the first one defintely helps us a lot since we need a big veteran wing that can defend and we would love to get rid of Jefferson. This is not a good trade for philly because Jefferson is not a star player and he often hurts his team with his sucky defense, unwillingness to pass, inability to draw fouls and unclutchness. Just not what philly needs right now.
The 2nd deal is great for us because we get a big wing that could potentially be a good defender and bring a solid scoring presense while getting rid of raja's contract. I don't see what this does for the kings tho. Kanter simply is not a good fit next to cousins as of yet and defintely not currently worth tyreke yet. Still has a lot too prove.

This.
As for the second, not interested. Not giving up on Enes this soon.
Also, bad news for Jimmer fans, but he will never play for the Jazz. No matter what people believe about the marketing possibilities, there's no way our FO and coaching staff wants to deal with a crowd constantly chanting to put in Jimmer. These people have proven that they're not Jazz fans, and our FO is not going to cater to non-Jazz fans in our own building, while at the same time causing a big distraction for the team. Never. Gonna. Happen.

I can buy the too slow for PF idea for Cousins and Kanter but soo short is ridiculous.
According to DX the average height and standing reach for a center is 6'9.38" and 9'1.4".
Kanter is 6'11.5" and 9'1.5". Or in other words average reach for a center.
Cousins is 6'10.75" but his reach is 9'5". This reach is equal to what Shaq is listed as and a inch higher than Greg Oden. Cousins has above average size for a center.
But the speed thing kills the trade anyway.

Re: Draft trade proposal
I live in Philly was always a Sixers fan. Chris Webber was my favorite player back in the day when I was a kid so the kings kind of stuck with me.
Interesting comments about Jefferson, obviously looking at his stats 19.5ppg, 9 rebs he looks good on paper but he clearly has weaknesses. I know hes not as good as his stats tell and is not a "star", but now I realize why Jazz Fans are quick to hate on him. Awful defense im guessing..? What else pisses you off about him?
As far as Kanter and Cousins playing together can I get some more insight about that I've only watched Kanter in the NBA a handful of times seeing him put back dunks and rebound. I don't judge the Roundball classic highlights on youtube scouting haha.

Actually Jazz fans generally like Jefferson, and he is our best player. Everyone just wan't to see the rookies develop (Kanter, Favors), and we are more comfortable with keeping Milsap given the choice.
Just like Kevin Love pushed Jefferson out of Minnesota, Favors is doing the same here. Only difference is that Jefferson is better now than when we got him.
Jazz fans in general like Iggy and are pretty familiar with him from his Arizona days. That and the fact that people are really excited about Kanter, are the reasons that most would do the first deal but not the second.

Re: Draft trade proposal
I would probably do the first. Our pick though is owed to Minnesota if we make the playoffs, but yeah you guys can get our next pick. I wouldn't mind the first trade. SF is our biggest need, unless Millsap were a full time SF, which I think would work. Anyways, Jefferson has to go for Favors development, and especially for Kanter's. I don't think the Sixers have so much more leverage to be able to swap picks with Utah. I agree with JDubJazz, swap these guys, don't include the picks.

Re: Draft trade proposal
Jefferson for Iggy sounds fair. No need to include picks. If anything, the pick we receive should be higher than the one we send. The second trade, just no. Not a fan of Tyreke's game and we shouldn't give up on Kanter this soon.

Re: Draft trade proposal
jefferson has a bigger market value than iggy: shorter contract, bigger body, a bit younger. Not mentioning point and rebounds.

Re: Draft trade proposal
Jefferson could make that team really good. What they are missing is a guy in the half court that can reliably score. That's Al. He's also cleaned up a couple of his warts. Now he passes and anticipates doubles a little better. He's in the best shape of his life. If there is a coach in the league who can convince him to rotate better and box out it might be Collins.
Utah won't hold on to Al but that doesn't make him less valuable. He's worth more than Iggy.

Re: Draft trade proposal
Ok some are you are getting insane as usual. Jefferson isn't remotely worth iggy and I can careless about the contract difference.
Jefferson kills you defensively and he will always suck at it just like Loozer no matter what you do. He doesn't draw many fouls, he passing more but is still a ball hog, isn't clutch, not an effective leader ect... Iggy is his team's leader, he can do a little bit of everything and he is the key to their defense. They are better off trading some of their younger guys for a much more effective high volume scorer such as eric gordan (or just out right signing him if possible).
