Detroit wins and moves back into 4th as well as clinching a playoff spot.
Dallas falls to Calgary and if San Jose can hang on to their 3-1 lead against Colorado and assuming Vancouver holds their lead against Los Angeles, San Jose will take over the division lead and 3rd in the West.

Terrific showing by the Caps, home game against the team tied with you for 8th and you take a dump everywhere. Sabres leapfrog.

That was an easy game for the sabres.

Four teams. Three spots. Two points separate them. Let's play "Guess What Happens In The Pacific Division!!!"
Winner: LA
7 Seed: Dallas
8 Seed: Phoenix
Out: San Jose
Winner: LA
7 Seed: Dallas
8 Seed: Phoenix
Out: San Jose

Devils and Hawks are in, Blues win the Central. Quartet of Eastern Conference teams eliminated.

Another year, another hilarious failure for the Flames and their "all in" management. See you next year.
And the Canucks are atop the West, and we once again aren't talking about them.

Is anyone else actively rooting for the Panthers as much as I am? I mean, how can you not?

I'm with ya. They're just a great story, I really hope they make some noise in the playoffs.

San Jose winning in Dallas will probably take some punch out of the Pacific races, but LA, San Jose and Phoenix only separated by two points. It would take a lot for those three not to make it in, at this point, though.

Not to mention the season ending with a LA-SJS home and home series.

Re: Race For The Stanley Cup Playoffs (DET 4th)
What a win for Detroit. To come back from 2-0 down with 8:00 to go in that building? Really impressive.

Yeah no kidding. And 4th makes a world of difference for us, given our home/road splits. It looks pretty certain that we face Nashville and I want the extra home game real bad

We have our field of 16 with two days remaining in the season, but plenty of things to still sort out. Still no winner in the Southeast or Pacific and plenty of shuffling can occur towards the bottom.
