lmao. My senior faculty resident sent this email out to everyone at the house that I live at after several people complained about the drunks banging on people's doors at 4am.

To: Drunk People (Jon, Tahir, Devon, the two French girls, the rest of the entourage from the early morning of Wednesday, April 4)

Going forward, I want you to ask yourselves the following questions. Think of it as a conduct checklist:

1. Is it 2:00 AM?

2. Is it 3:00 AM?

3. Is it 4:00 AM?

4. Is my mouth open (am I talking)?

5. Is it my 24th birthday?

6. Am I drinking in a common area?

7. Is the amount of alcohol that I am drinking likely to leave me hung over tomorrow?

8. Has Davi ask me to quiet down because the people who live here are trying to sleep?

9. Is Najia about 30 seconds away from getting out of bed beating the crap out of me?

10. Is Teairra about 30 seconds away from getting out of bed, and waking up Najia and asking Najia to beat the crap out me because Teairra does not want to risk dislocating her leg again from she is kicking me in the head and laughing while I am curled up in a fetal position screaming in futility for her to please, please stop?

11. Am I cultivating a reputation for smug, self-centered entitlement by doing things like putting an automatic opener on the garage door, a reputation I amplify when I disregard the adverse impact of my actions on others?

12. Do I brace the back door open and prevent it from locking because I am just so damned special that my opportunity to smoke in a no smoking location with maximum convenience washes out the long vector of risks I impose on my housemates when I leave coins stuck in the bloody door?

If you answer “yes” to two or more of these questions, then you have officially created a problem for me that I am very prepared to make a problem for you. Come see me please. I want some explanations, and then the group gets some apologies, some real apologies, not the dismissive nonsense I heard tonight at dinner. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can handle this more formally.
