OT: Yahoo Fantasy Baseball

Post#1 » by younggunsmn » Sat Mar 31, 2012 7:00 pm

I've never played before, I thought it would be fun to try.
So I created a custom league.

Roto, 8 hitting x 7 pitching categories, weekly lineups for lower maintenance.
25 man rosters, play 12 position players and 10 pitchers.

If anyone is interested sign up.
Go to yahoo>sports>fantasy>baseball>join custom league.

the ID# is 186150 and the Password is joemauer.

Open to anyone, lurkers included.
Set for 12 teams but will take more if I can get them.
Draft tentatively thurs night, but can push back if I don't get enough people.

The iphone and android apps for yahoo fantasy baseball are better this season. Check them out if you play fantasy baseball.

Have you joined devilz?

I need more teams.
I only have 8 teams right now, I would like 10 at least.
I am pushing the draft back to tomorrow @ the same time if I can't get to 10 by 5:30 CST.

I published the league on yahoo. Maybe I should try the fantasy board here.

glad to have you. draft pushed back until tomorrow to wait for more teams.

twins players have terrible yahoo ratings this year.
mauer's is the best and he doesn't even crack the top 100.

5 scoreless innings for Johan, that should jump him a couple hundred spots...thats right, I exposed all your guys' sleeper pick!

Mauer, Morneau, and that Japanese guy. That's about everything I know about the Minnesota Twins and baseball in general, so you probably should count me out.

I don't know anything either; not only do i not play fantasy in any sports, my heyday in baseball was late 80s early 90s. Bret Saberhagen, Ryne Sanberg, Pedro Guerrero, Tim Raines...now THAT was baseball! Twins were elite and you never heard anything about the Yankees and their payroll because they sucked each and every year like clockwork. Truly beautiful times.

Now everybody's all "hey how about that josh hamilton!" and i scrunch up my face like an old person listening to dubstep for the first time and think "i don't know who that is, but he's no Dale Murphy"

ha ha yeah i know absolutely NOTHING about baseball but i signed up...would really lik eto try and get into it and i think fantasy can help. i reall'y enjoy watching world series(especially this past one). i will not be at the draft as i'm moving back home to new zealand. not gonna change the ranking's except move david frease and strausberg up(2 of about 11 or 12 total players i know :D ). good luck with draft all.
