I think IF we (the front office) knew that the new CBA would have had the Amnesty Clause then we would have signed him to the max deal. That is the only thing that sucks about us not resigning him. At the time, I was not for it, but after the new CBA I was spewing. And the Knicks really screwed the pooch by using theirs on Billups.

The knicks actually needed to use it on Billups to get Chandler, who may be their MVP this season. Billups' contract was around 14 mil for this year which freed up just enough space for Tyson.

They only needed to use it because they picked up Billups option a couple weeks prior :lol:

Its so funny I was just watching the clip which shows A'mare getting drafted and I couldn't stop laughing after hearing his short interview following his selection. You guys have to see it if you haven't seen it already...
