Cousins rips Blake Griffin a new one, says he is "babied" by the league and was "fouled by the wind".

Griffin is rapidly becoming one of my least favorite players. And I'm liking Cousins more and more after remarks like this.

Me too, and even though there's things you can point to that discolor his recent hot streak (shooting %, team success), there's no denying he's on a tear. Could be bigger things to come for him.

Dallas closed the lead to 1 but MEM fighting them off and Gil playing well to help them.

2-3 from long range and 5-5 from the line.

Edit. Make the 3-5 from long range. Gilbert is heating up. 14 pts

Opp. Gil goes out with a twisted left ankle.

Dallas made it a close game but looking like MEM pulls it out. Randolf hit two FT to extend the lead to 5 with 16 sec on the clock. Dallas ball.

Gasol with the steal on the inbound. Game over.

Look for news on Gils ankle. He limped out the court and didnt return.

Gilbert looks comfortable shooting again. In Orlando his jumpshot had just completely dissapeared. But he's pretty much zoned in on 3-pointers again.

Watching the Denver game.

McGee still looks clueless.

As for Cousins. Maybe one day but right now, no way would I want him on my team. Way to many jump shots. If you could get him to stop taking that shot, he would be worth while as a rebounder. If someone could get him to drive instead. That would be a good start. This guy shoots the J as fast as Crawford does.

Blake goes 12-15, while statpadder shoots 5-19.

Sounds like jealousy to me...you know fat boy wouldn't be complaining if he were the chosen one.

Griffin +23, Cousins -23. That's almost TOO perfect. I think the refs set it up.

Lester Hudson has been balling out tonight. 26 pts in OT and made the game-tying 3. Good signing for Cleveland.

SAC pregame. They are talking about how talented Cousin is but he clearly has a lot to improve on.

He leads the league in both fouls and taking charges.

He seems to have a decent basketball IQ but that team is bad.

Last game I watched him against LAL, he took way to many outside shots.

They said he is 260 though he is listed as 270. Looking at him, it would be hard to imagine he is 270. If he is, he hides it really well.

Cousins is still only 21. He does have NBA skills. I would guess that he slowly matures and becomes a valuable player. But he will need to learn how to be good on a good team. Basically, how to play with in a system where he can't just do whatever he wants. How long with that take. Who knows. It isnt likely to learn that on a crap team. But I would guess come 2013/14, he is going to get paid really well. Then it will take him a year in a good system. The year after that 2014/2015, he should be a beast if he lands on a good team and only 24.

He uses he body well to box out and push people out to the way to rebound. That is a quality skill. And now they have Jimmer starting and launching with should help. As we know, a team needs outside shooting. But Cousins really needs to fix his FT shooting. He could rack up a lot of points at the line.

It's funny how Gordon gets injured again right after he comes back.

Anyway, I don't think NO catches us. we're up 3 games on them, and they have a better roster than us. Most of the games they lose are vs. good teams and they always lose close.

So I click on the box score for the Nuggets game and see that they're up 28-7 in the 1st. And I think - Finally, JaVale is getting comfortable with his teammates, and they're putting it all together. Then I scroll down to the Nuggets' players and see that JaVale didn't start, Koufos did. And now at the end of 3, I see that JaVale is -7 in +/-, while the entire starting lineup ranges from +25 to +33. Sorry CCJ....

Kidding aside, I can't help but think that JaVale has had a negative effect on Faried. It seemed to me that Faried's numbers weren't quite as "monster" since the trade, but now tonight he's gone for 27 & 17 with JaVale relegated to the bench.

I think Denver would be foolish to offer anything close to D. Jordan money. I suspect we're looking at the QO for JaVale, then it'll be up to him to prove he deserves more than an MLE-sized deal after that. But I guess it doesn't bother Denver too much, since they got out of Nene's contract.

I commented in a post a while back that Kenneth Faried would have a 30-30 game at some point in his career. I did say the guy had HOF talent before he was drafted ...

Faried has 27 points, 17 rebounds in 24 minutes. George Karl won't put him the rest of the game.

That's 40.5 point, 25.5 rebound game for 36 minutes pace.

Faried's production tonight projects to 45 points, 28 rebounds over 40 minutes.

His coach is holding him back the same way Dean Smith kept Michael Jordan from doing too much too soon. Maybe it's a good thing. If Faried works on his game, the sky is the limit. He is 6'6" PF.

(Nivek, I don't think Thomas Robinson is anywhere near the player Faried is going to be.)

I doubt CCJ's feeling too bad about that game considering Faried had 31 efficiency points and a +30 +/- in 16 minutes at the end of the first half. And he seems to be playing well in the second half too.
