Don't take anything I say super serious.

I don't care who plays as long as the team wins....which has been less lately but still.

knux, no offense intended and thanks for the clarification. Not infrequently i see that sort of comment made by other people in all seriousness. Gets to be veeeerry tiresome. Didn't know you were just satirizing the board.

Anyone who doesn't recognize that Turner's played a net negative role thus far tonight isn't watching the game or is watching with some sort of hi-tech homer blinders glued to the face.

Meeks wasn't fouled...he just met his arch nemesis...The rim.

the Rim won.

Bench Turner for life.
Man, I am SO tired of these ridiculous reductio ad absurdum outbursts. Sometimes Meeks is the better guy to have out there. Sometimes he's hot; sometimes ET is mediocre at best. At those times you'd like to have your coaching playing the guy with the hot hand given that the coach--unlike some fans, perhaps-- values wins and playoff positioning above any particular favored-son's playing time.
Guess you didn't watch the maimi game the other night, your right coach should go with the hot hand just not be biased about it.
I was on family vacation in Jamaica during that time, although I followed the game via gamecast. Could you clarify your point? Wasn't ET's the hottest hand and didn't he play 39+ minutes? And didn't non-hot Meeks only play 16 minutes? Where did poor ol' Douggie screw up so badly in that game? And even if he did screw up in that game, exactly how does that affect what's happening in THIS game?

I swear, some of the posts on this board couldn't pass muster in a low-level high school debate tournament.
Lol there was no debate or arguement about this game where if Meeks is hitting his threes he should get burn, the arguement was about dougie being biased in the hot hand regard that game where turner went nutts to begin the 2nd quarter he got pulled at the 8 minute mark thus Doug not sticking with the hot hand. But I guess since you seen the box score your right my bad your point wins

Have no idea what this means, and if it possibly relates to me I wish you'd have the cajones to spell out your meaning rather than speak at a middle-school elliptical level.

1.) Please learn how to use the quote function. It's not that hard, and if you'd like some help my 9 year old son can give you a tutorial.

2.) So you're staying that Doug Collins invalidated his "hot hand" philosophy by only playing Evan Turner a game-high 39+ minutes? DC dared to pull Turner at a point when he was hot, even though DC put Turner in the game more than any other player, and that constitutes a hypocritical coaching gaffe? Is that what's being argued? I need some help with these points some times because I'm only a native English speaker.

He benched Turner in the Miami game when he was HOT. if you had watched the game you would have realized that it was an idiotic move. Think Collins pulls the same stunt on his boy-favorites Meeks or Iggy in the same instance? Nope

I'm not baiting, and if you knew the definition of that term you'd know that as well. I'm pointing out how tough some of you have made it to follow the Sixers on this board. Hyper-negativity combined with less-than-stellar basketball understanding. A really bad mixture.

You tell me to "move on." Believe me, I've been close a lot of times. You'll notice I haven't been posting here very much lately. But I'm reluctant to let a bunch of hyper-negative would-be fans who think that they know more than the vet coach drive me away from what should be an open forum.

Get me?

Man , the only reason why Turner played 40 mins against Mia is Iggy hurt his left eye in the 3rd which left Turner being our only available SF on the court (and DC refuse to play Sam Young for no reason).
Just stop this nonsense

Quoted for truth. I love when people comment on games just caused they glanced at a box score. Its comical.

I'm not going to argue with you to waste my time with your tough writing. I'm tired of the insults you've been throwing around to make yourself feel good. I think the mods themselves agreed with some of the posters about when Doug took out Turner against Miami. Look it up.

1.) Collins couldn't have played Turner many more minutes vs. Miami no matter what the circumstance. So it seems that you guys are dickering over marginal decisions.
2.) Do any of you think that Turner would have been the difference in the Miami game-- i.e. if he plays more, the Sixers win? I'd be oh so interested to see an intelligent analysis that takes that stance to the mat.
3.) Once again a number of you pile on any poster who dares to suggest that Turner isn't god, DC isn't the devil for playing Meeks when he has a hot hand, and that this team's success relies on factors that your biases don't always understand. Give it a rest, will you, if you want to remain a forum that's of interest to a range of posters instead of just a few like-minded curmudgeons.
