what steve blake needs is a little encouragement maybe from kobe. i mean, session just went straight to l.a. and took over blake's minutes, without even saying thanks. you've gotta feel bad for steve.

Actually what Blake needs is Luke Walton's role with the Lakers the past years

You get what you work for. This guy is obviously either not putting in the work, or not good enough to begin with to be in the league. I don't feel sorry at all for someone making 4 mil a year to not produce at a professional level.

Blake plays alright when he has Kobe out there to setup shots for him and he functions as a floor spacer. In that role he plays alright. If he were to get focused on the defensive end as he was earlier in the year, make smart passes and drive and hit the mid-range he's a useful player for ten minutes next to Kobe.

Playing him without a combo guard to create next to him is pointless.
