He's an interesting prospect. On the surface seems like he can be the second best PF in this draft. He's got nice skills (good face up drives, can hit the midrange J, nice touch around basket), impressive length, and he's played well whenever I've watched a Mississippi game. Tough to say whether he has all-star potential though because while he can show you a lot of moves over the course of the game, he doesn't have "bread and butter" moves, and his age (22) is also bit of a concern for me. He'll be a good player but his ceiling is a concern. If we miss out on all the wings (ie end up drafting 8th or 9th), I'd rather take him than PJ tbh.

Unlike many of the posters here..
if BC drafts Drummond or PJ III I'm super excited for the upcoming season, and I feel its a successful draft.

I think it's a successful draft if we get Drummond, not for next season but down the road if we develop him properly.

We gotta do better than that. Davis, MKG, Robinson, Beal, and worst case Lamb... Anyone else and I'll be pissed. Drummond is the guy I've got mixed feelings about, like everyone else I suppose.

Funny how Barnes is a role player, yet MKG isn't? Not hating just saying as it is.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Joe Johnson is a terrible comparison for Barnes. Johnson is a playmaker, which even the biggest Barnes supporters won't mistake him for.

Eddie Jones is what I see with a little less jump. I'd take him in a flash.

Like that comparison too. Just has that all around feel for the game. Once in the nba he'll get all the spacing he needs to excel

Terrence Ross is more Eddie Jones than Barnes is. Eddie Jones wasn't as big a dude as Barnes at the same age.

Explain what you see in PJ3, can't dribble, shoot of the dribble, might have range but not nba range so he isn't playing the sf. Lack of post moves, lack of hustle, might be able to play the pf but not at a high level.

Beal is a whole lot more Joe Johnson than Barnes, that's for sure.

Jones changed his game over the years. He was a high flyer for the Lakers and then morphed into a long ball shooter and great defender for the Heat. I see Barnes more like the Heat version of Jones.

So if Perry Jones can play the 3 and Rivers can play the 1 what do you think it does to their stock?

Somewhere between Sean Elliot and Glen Rice is an accurate depiction.

Agree. That comparison is way off. I stick to Jamaal Mashburn with an undeveloped post-up game.
