dribbled with his head up and looked to pass first. he could improve our 2nd unit dramatically, getting people who can't create their own shot open looks.

SVG on playing Ish more with the second unit: "we'll see, he played well but everyone played well today".

I loved Ish's post game interview.
Listening to SVG makes me realize that Ish will still be the 3rd point guard on this team. For him to say that "Yeah, Ish played well...but everyone played well, he didn't have to come in and rescue us", makes me realize no matter what Ish does, he's not getting minutes over Duhon, because I guarantee you that Duhon wouldn't have played this well.

Stan makes it seem like he won't play Ish that much more. I feel that Stan will stick with his vet, Duhon. Also, it sounded like Glen will get an increase minutes, but still stay behind a healthy Ryno in the lineup.

The best team game played this season and maybe last year.

For me, the Miami game where Orlando came back from a 40 point deficit was the best game the last two seasons.

Everyone did play well, but that is kinda ignorant of Stan to say something like that. Ish clearly played well tonight and made his presence known in the 2nd quarter.

I loved when he said that. I can't stand when our team stand around and shoot 3s.

i did not get that. it was more like stan did not want to come to conclusions in front of the media after one game.

I'm actually getting pissed off at Stan now, if your gran can tell that a player should be on the field in place of another then it should be obvious to a Head coach what he has to do, if his stubborn attitude towards his 'vets' playing over the newer guys continues he deserves all he gets if he's fired

I like Stan, but I have to agree with this. Ish has played better than Duhon every time he gets the opportunity. I will never understand what Stan sees in Duhon nor why he won't allow competition at the backup point guard position.

I probably should actually watch the post game comments myself before reacting...

Hopefully you are right. It wouldn't look right for a coach to flat out tell his back up PG that he lost his job directly to the media. Hopefully Stan will look at film, see the positives that Ish brings to the table and start to trust him a bit more.

Look guys, how many times have we seen a guy go off on the Magic only to never be heard of again, with exception of their stat line over seas.... Stan sees him every day, and I think if he practices as hard as he played tonight, he will get more run. JJ did. Ryno did, CLEE did......You can not be IA and play for Stan....you got to practice.

i don't understand stan. ish is a perfect backup pg for us. our second unit has been dreadful all season long and he hasn't done anything to try to fix it. a good coach like stan should know how to make adjustments

This is where stan needs to improve as a coach! It's pretty bad when reporters see that ish smith should move in the 2nd unit ahead of yours truly but stan suddenly acts like ray charles once again! He's clearly a dookie head

It's not that...it's just that, well......DUHON is not a good basketball player.
