Thought he looked like a serviceable starting center. He's got a nice passing game, solid defense. Sort of like a smaller Big Z.

Loved his game ever since his time in Spain. Just a very smart and solid big man with no real weaknesses, won't wow you very often with spectacular plays but he'd be a quality starter for most NBA teams.

Nice to get the win, although I do think it should have been easier against a depleted Spurs team. Harris really bailed us out in the final minutes. Won't be easy to earn a spot in the playoffs but it's certainly worth to keep fighting for it.

BTW, am I the only one getting increasingly annoyed by Matty's commentary? I think it's getting a bit out of hand. He complains after every single close call, even when replays clearly show the refs had gotten it right, and it really bothers me even as a Jazz fan. I could tolerate him being such a homer if he at least had something interesting to add but most of the time he's just crunching numbers or making bland, uninsightful comments. I don't dislike him on a personal level but I'm just not a fan of his work...

^^^^
He was interesting to have on as a player, it seems that whatever training they gave him to do the job made him worse. I miss Ron Boone calling all the games at this point, at least he's not a blatent homer (just has trouble saying what he means).

I enjoy Boler and Harpring, but if I was a fan of another team watching our broadcast, I'd consider taking my own life. The homerism is definitely out of control.

The Favors goal-tend (which was clearly the right call to my eyes) stands out in my mind.

Yeah, that was bad. It's also annoying when Boler points out inconsequential crap that doesn't matter, like uncalled over-the-back fouls.

Actually if you've ever had to listen to other teams' broadcasters, Harping and Boler are actually comparably objective about things! My Directv likes to be dumb and record games on the other teams' channels, and believe me, there are MUCH worse broadcasting teams out there. The worst ones have been Denver and I think Memphis. The best were Miami.

(also that wasn't goaltending!!) :) - really though it wasn't

Miami's aren't bad. I also think the Lakers' guys are pretty good.

Denver's terrible. Sacramento and Houston are absolutely insufferable. Sean Elliot in San Antonio. The Wizards' guys were unlistenable during the team's peak, but now they're just self-loathing, thankfully.

... and if I hear Stacey King scream "does anyone know how to post videos to Facebook?????!!!!!???" after a routine two-handed dunk ever again, I may lose it.

Gotta mention the Clippers announcers if we're talking about major homers. Wholeheartedly agree on Sean Elliott. Denver's Scott Hastings is quite annoying as well. Drexler, too. Raptors are not as homers as in the Chuck Swirsky days, although Leo Rautins is horrible. Tommy Heinsohn and Stacey King are so bad that they're actually kind of fun at times. Unfortunately I feel Matty is getting closer to these guys by the day, homerism-wise.

On the other hand, Miami's are pretty good, and I remember finding the Nets and the Pacers' fairly good although the sample size is small. I catch quite a few of New Orleans games and I don't mind them particularly. I especially like the Knicks' but I understand why some people can't listen to Clyde (although I enjoy it).
