how is it rigged?
Columbus was statistically unlikely to win it and Edmonton was the 2nd most likely to take the top prize.
Additionally, its not like Edmonton won the previous lotteries either.

Smart decision. At least he will be gone before the sanctions come in.

Damn. Was hoping for a steal with Miller. Oh well, a good decision on his part.

How its not rigged? Hello? Oilers won 3 consecutive years with the 1st overall pick in the draft, buddy.
Columbus statistically unlikely to win it? Columbus has 48.2% chance of winning the lottery while Oilers have 18.8%. How can you so confidently say its unlikely, especially statistically. Helloooo..? Statistically Columbus has nearly 50/50 chance of winning it, u know?
Not like Edmonton won the previous lotteries? They won Taylor Hall (1st) in 2010, Nugent-Hopkins (1st) in 2011, and now most likely picking Yakupov@1st.

Dude, do you even pay attention to NHL draft? Anyways, I'm glad Leafs didn't drop to 6th, and likely get one of Murray or Forsberg, kind of like getting one of the top wings in this NBA draft.

This post is a disaster. There is still over 50% chance that Columbus would NOT win the lottery. So the most likely scenario happened is all. In 2011, New Jersey won the lottery but could only move up 4 spots, therefore Edmonton got the first pick because they had the worst record. None of these scenarios are unlikely. Also, the NHL is going to rig the lottery for Edmonton?! Child please!

Dragic has been lights out in March and early April ever since Lowry was out with injury. The Rockets was 3 games above .500 with Lowry, ever since he was out, Dragic carried the team and now they are 6th in a tight playoff race with 7 games above .500.

March: Won 7 out of 12 games
G FG 3P REB A STL AVG
12 .52 .44 3.5 9.0 1.9 17.4

April: Won 4 out of 5 games
G FG 3P REB A STL AVG
5 .51 .46 3.4 7.6 2.2 21.2

Dragic has been running the team exceptionally well, utilizing deceptive quickness to attack the lane, drive and kick, and doing a good job running the pick n' roll, really scoring efficiently behind the 3pt line, playing a grit defense, picking people's pocket with quick hands, and he's improved on his dribbling where he will keep the ball alive once he's in the paint, its something he learned from Nash in past years. The Rocket fans always said he can play but he never got the minutes because of Lowry, now that he has the minutes and really showing everything. You can take a look at these two clips to see how he plays. He models his game after Ginobi (that's what he said before) and you can see a glimpse of that deceptive quickness, dribble drive and craftiness.

Dragic is going to be unrestricted free agent, and looking to get paid, he's likely one of BC's PG target in the offseason.

Let's just steal one of Houston's point guards at the very least. They don't need them both.

Oh that's quite rude of you calling it a disaster, where are your polite manners? I'm not your child geez, you might be alot older or have kids, but I ain't a kid, fella. But when I'm bolding the "unlikely", and repeated "unlikely" again, and when I bolded Columbus statistically unlikely to win it? and explain it, it means they are statistically likely to win it I didn't say they are going to win it, I said they are likely to win it simply 50/50 chances that most other teams don't have. This is why I said they are "likely", likely, and likely, so likely, and likely and of cos other 50% chance they don't, but 50% they will.

And hey, unlikely scenario or not, Edmonton is too lucky right now getting 1st pick 3 years in a row, any hockey fans deserve to smack on the damn draft.

Right now I just hope the raps not dropping on draft lottery, that's all I'm praying for. If we don't win it, I hope the bobcats win it, they are likely, likely, and likely have a chance at winning it with 25%, oh right, I have to include the other 75% chance they won't win it right sir?, just don't let cavs or wizards winning it or else this whole board will go furious. Darn it, Pray us winning it or pray the lolcats' 25% likelihood of winning the lottery over the wizards/cavs.

Edmonton's chance of winning 3 in a row (.48 * .48 * .18) measures out to 4%, which is about the chance of the 7th worst NBA team, aka pretty much us, winning the lottery.

Unlikely but not ridiculous.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

I didn't know people were into Panda porn.

AD will give us one of the most talented front courts in Toronto metropolitan area.

And about Dragic, he's only played at this level for a short period. Why not draft Lin then? We need someone with more potential or someone with more talent at the PG.

Good choice Quincy, you were nowhere near ready to play with the big boys; those legs look way too weak and the physique looks way too frail.

LOL at Panda porn, I thought of the same thing too. You mean get Lin offseason, he's restricted free agent, Knicks going to match any offer especially when the offer is no more than 5m I think.

Apparently you can backload Lin's deal to the point that he's severely overpaid at 10M per in the final seasons of his deal. LOWRY LOWRY LOWRY!

I don't even know if their pick is going to make the roster in the first season, unless he's WOW the leafs from day 1 or else he'll get Kadri treatment. But the top 5 prospects of this draft are extremely talented. I think Murray or Forsberg might end up being the pick, last I've heard Murray is Scott Niedermayer cIone and Forsberg is highly offensively skilled, but whatever, I gave up on the leafs in 2nd half of the season... I just thank god our raptors top pick will get minutes and maybe starter minutes especially if we're drafting a SF, SG not so much.

My bad Freddy, not trying to suggest anything about your age. Just an expression.

That would be the best if the Raps could jump into the top 3 this year. But if not, we could always take PJIII (just kidding, don't want to start that argument ;) ).

I still think we're better off waiting for 2013. If we're going to overpay, I'd rather it be to pry away a guy like Curry, Jennings, Teague, Lawson, Holiday, or Collison.

Return to Toronto Raptors
