Brown is the only player on this team that can go iso and make a play. Everyone else has to fed by Nash to score.

Maybe its from he learned from Kobe but Brown has become a very good one on one player since he has been in the starting lineup. It surprised me that we didn't go to him down the stretch in the Denver game but again we do have Gentry as a HC so its not that surprising.

Shannon Brown reminds me of when J-Rich finally found his groove with us and was beasting...... then we traded him

I think Brown might be securing himself an MLE type level raise, something like $25m over 5, which to me, is too much...In saying that, I'd consider re-signing him for $10m over 2yrs...He could very well be an 18-20pt scorer if the volume is there

I wouldn't be opposed to a $10-12m/2year contract for Brown, but realistically he'd want 4-5 years and I'd like for us to stay away from that for sure. Neither him or Redd deserve to be full time starters on any team and provide the same thing that the other does; quick scoring off the bench. That means we have a choice to make on who to keep, and as much as I like what Redd has done, youth could be useful for us. With that said, I would obviously not want Brown anything more than 2-3 seasons, so I would probably try to go after Redd with a 2 year, 8mil deal.

As for Telfair, he's here for another season. Price will probably be gone unless Nash bolts and/or we don't re-sign him.

No need to amnesty Hakim, we're under the cap, don't need it. If anything I'd amnesty Chill, but he's looked decent in the minutes he's got since Hill is gone, so if Hill is gone as well, no need to make a hasty amnesty move just because we can.

Brown is averaging 17.5 PPG, 4.6 RPG the last 8 games. His scoring has been a major boost, but I would want him to up his other stats such as rebounds, steals, and free throws per game. Agree with Nando though, he is reminding me of J-Rich a little. This is what I envisioned him playing like in the beginning of the season, being a candidate for most improved player (not gonna happen now).
If, a huge if, he continues this type of play (and the Suns make the playoffs) I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns offer him a contract this off season. Dudley/Brown is a good SG combination IMO.

If this is the real Shannon Brown - and I'd love to believe it is - then re-signing him at a reasonable price is not a terrible thing. I do worry that he'll sign and then turnback into Chucky Brown

we still need a SG - Duds is much better at SF

Is Redd good enough to be our starting SG? Or do we let him walk in the hope of landing a guy like Ray Allen?

If we can keep him for the vet min, why not? Have him be our third string SG. But a big NO for the starting job, he can't defend well enough.
