No way we draft Sullinger to be a backup power forward for us. More importantly, the sourced update isn't even a mock draft. It's just a ranking of how they see the prospects at this point. It even says in bold at the top of the page that team needs haven't been considered...I would imagine that "mock draft" probably is the same list that appears when you click the DX link for their top 100 players.

Sullinger went up against that 7 ft white guy on Kansas in the final four and he didn't play too good. He might have problems in the NBA against taller defenders.

Exactly. There would be Harrison Barnes hate threads every day on here if he played for us. He's really not that good.

The note clearly states that team needs not taken into account.

Correct, in other words bpa. If Sullinger is bpa when we pick, you pick him. Amir and Ed are bench players, Sulley is a starter. Trade Bargs once and for all.

Withey is a center, Sulley is a pf who was forced to play outta position.

Hell in that case what's the point of even having a "mock draft". Yes we can all look at the standings and figure out who is picking when based on record, we can also gauge roughly who places where in the top 10 draft picks. There is basically no need for this lol

Well he's healthy, he has no glass knees, and he has no bizarre behavioral issue. What's not to like

I don't think he has US taking Sullinger, but simply Sullinger going 6th. Also, since we are now 5th in the standings, guess it's Beal now?

No reason to get butthurt because I pointed out a fact. If you compare their top 100 rankings to the page that DX has labelled "Mock Draft", both were updated at the same time. The reason I said it wasn't really a mock draft is because no thought went into it, as DX usually waits until the end of the season when the combine and workouts start taking place, to start matching prospects with specific teams. At this point, they are simply inputting data to fill the page.

Further, most NBA teams usually rank players by tiers. It's more than likely that the Raptors will have Sullinger placed in a tier with other players that match needs more important than PF. Also, which I generally agree with the BPA philosophy (which you pointed out to another poster) it has its limits. You may think Sullinger is better than Bargnani, but at the cost of not improving the swingman position with a player of similar value to Sullinger (Barnes, Lamb, Beal as examples)?

Additionally, and to please all the anti-Bargs fanboys, let's imagine an unlikely scenario, where the Raptors trade Bargnani for the 10th overall pick, and Calderon for the 15th overall pick. We know have the 6, 10 and 15 picks. After selecting Sullinger, we get to the 10th pick and John Henson is the BPA according to our board, so of course we select him. The 15th pick rolls around, and lo and behold, the BPA on our board is Terrence Jones, another PF, so we pick him too. Does this make any sense? While clearly an exaggeration, of course it doesn't. As I said, I agree with BPA in general, but you have to weigh it with other factors as well...and please, don't be offended :)
