Franchise potential

1. Anthony Davis - Elite defensive IQ, length and athleticism, has a lot of good building blocks offensively. Can be the best defensive player in the league and still a 3rd option or so offensively, which is an outstanding piece to build with. The anti Bosh/VC in leadership too.

Players I feel good about being tier 2 stars or better

2. Meyers Leonard - Legit 7 foot with great athleticism, can hit shots inside and outside at this point. I see him as having about the same skill level as Valanciunas, in a more athletic and thicker body, but with worse rebounding instincts

3. Jeremy Lamb - Explosiveness, fluidity, great shooting range, great ballhandling. Can be a scoring machine

Should be good players, outside chance of being star players. Can be "West/Boozer all-star"

4. Perry Jones III - Chris Bosh physically, has a guard's skillset, might not be an alpha dog but seems like a good kid reading about his history.

5. Thomas Robinson - Athletic, strong, physically talented enough to play above the rim despite size. Should give us elite rebounding combination.

6. Jared Sullinger - Has a Boozer/West type career written all over him. Power and a lower base should make him tough to handle in the league, has a phenomenal instincts game

Feel good about them being starters. Maybe being the type of players who get paid 8 to 10 million a year

7. Arnett Moultrie - Athletic, long, has a jumpshot going, good rebounding numbers in college. A good counter to Sullinger and PJIII in that he's more physically reliable than Sullinger, and more motor/rebounding/fits position reliable than PJIII. At the same time lacks their strengths

8. Bradley Beal - Should be good at almost anything - shooting, driving, decent passing, and special rebounding. However like Moultrie I wonder if he's more complete than a guy with 1 or 2 absolute meal ticket skills

9. Damian Lillard - Amazing shooting season (3P, 3PA, FT%, FTA all check out), good size and driving ability. Fits our team's needs. Score first PG and I have some concerns about a player who took this long to show up on the radar in a bad conference, but his tools check out to me

10. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: A player I like for other teams more than us because I see him as a demon in transition, like the new Richard Jefferson. Apparantley had the best transition finishing % in the NCAA, and has that speed and strength. But I don't know how invested we are in fastbreak points from this point forward.

Looks like MKG is still the most wanted player after Davis around here. I know the knocks against him by those who don't want him, but I keep thinking if he's going to be like Marion/ Wallace, but he's further along than they were at the same age, he could be very special.

Other than him, I'm still cool with any of Beal, Robinson, Lamb. Also Drummond as trade bait, if any team wants him bad enough to make a great offer for him.

Actually I'm pretty sure we need good players more than anything right now. I feel like a broken record but drafting because of the specific needs of this mess of a team would be folly.

for years, YEARS were backcourt drought. the 06-07 success due to anthony parker and TJ ford. wen jose run the show its over. jose is great off the bench but he cant start..NEVER!!!

Well that's one good reason why you shouldn't be a gm. I got nothing against Lillard, but he can be had much lower down. If he was really that great, knowing that he's almocst certain to be there outside the top 10, you could trade down for multiple picks and/or other assets.

TJones at 8. Is that high? If he had no mental/consistency issues, how high would he go? 5? He's still a tweener. I think that's poor risk/reward.
