Great news!

I want to see Brown and Hill starting with Redd and Dudley coming from the bench. I like Duds but this way we`d have 2 very good combos at sg/sf.

Hill would have limited playing time in Friday night's game at Houston, a pivotal game for the Suns to make up ground on the Rockets and to split the teams' season series in case of a playoff tiebreaker. Hill's reaction to his first play Friday would determine how much he is available the next night for the trip's closing game at San Antonio.

No...same starting lineup. Play Hill with the bench. Over the second half of the season, Nash-Brown-Dudley-Frye-Gortat is the best offensive and best overall unit in the league (minimum 100 minutes). Plus they've gotten better over time, and will probably continue to improve. If the starters lose Dudley, they lose crucial spacing. Don't break that up. Plus Hill adds stability to the 2nd unit. I think he's a logical fit to play next to Redd. And maybe he can help keep Telfair in line.

I was waiting for the proffessor to chime in. :D Same thought I had. Plus Hill will be testing out the knee, why rush him back to the starting lineup?

Haven't tried Hill off the bench before and it turned out to be a disaster?

Yep, fourteen frickin times with the Suns, twelve of which were under Porter. Enough said. :D

I think Hill coming in off the bench the rest of the season is the way to go. We don't know if he'll be recovered enough, and as Los Soles stated, the starting unit has been clicking amazingly lately. Since Hill does seem to get cramped up or something when coming in off the bench, they should think about maybe putting him on an elliptical to keep his muscles and joints warmed up. Nothing too strenuous, just something so he doesn't get cold.

What does he do before the start of the game? I don't get this problem when coming off the bench. Grant hasn't talked about this in the past. As I stated before he has only come off the bench fourteen times, and twelve of those were up and down minutes under Porter. When Hill came off the bench and got a bunch of minutes, he did well.

I like the idea of a bike near the bench. But he could get up and stretch, run in place, and many other things before he goes into the game. But since Gentry has regular shifts, it won't be too tough for Hill to get ready.

I think we should try to bring him off the bench (yes I said it). He's coming off a surgery and I don't want him to go against elite players at the beginning. Just give him Childress' role and minutes for the last games of the regular season. Depending on possible matchups in the playoffs (Spurs, Thunder) I would start him against Durant or bring him off the bench against Ginobili.
