CP3 is godlike.

Mike Smith yeling at DJ needing to get up on Durant = every other Clipper fan saying the same thing. lol

Also, lots of roughhousing towards the end. Ibaka-Griffin were grabbing each other's jerseys off the Durant miss. Also, Griffin pushed Ibaka from the back on that CP3 bucket (although Ibaka was going for the block anyways, so he kinda helped him in a way). Then after the CP3 shot, Perkins threw away Griffin's arm but Griffin's own hand hit him in the face, haha.

That win @ OKC might've been the biggest win as a 10yr tenure as a fan

The Donald has already said he will pay him. All the Clippers have to do is continue to put a quality team around him and Blake. This offseason will be a true test for Olshey. He'll have the whole summer to make moves. If Mo opts out and Gomes is amnestied, we'll have about $12M under the cap. If that happens, things could get really interesting. Players should have the Clips as a destination that they would take less to play for.

we got to resign cp3 this summer.
leaving him and blake to be free agent for next summer is asking for trouble

if that's the case, the only way i can see it is if we get rid of mo and gomer and use that 12 million in capspace to bring in a game changer off the bench, then resign bilups and extend CP3 to go into luxury. CP3 won't re-sign here unless we improve the roster to win it all.

With him opting into the last season of his contract, I'm pretty sure we can't re-sign him this summer. Have to do him and Blake at the same time in 2013.

Blake is restricted and Sterling said he would give him the max. He's not going anywhere unless we don't want him. Players will take less to come here. It's LA and a team that should be in position for contending.

I'd hope that we would go hard at Garnett and Allen. Celtic fans have recently been down on Shuttlesworth, but that doesn't necessarily mean the organization feels the same way. If the Celtics do in fact decide to go another direction, then we need to be all over those 2. One would be a huge addition, both would be a dream come true. In addition to whatever cap space we may have, we'll have a $2.5M room exception to use once the cap space is gone. This year, we used it on K-Mart. I'd personally prefer that the team goes another direction this summer. I would like Billups back and probably even Foye, who I don't expect to be that expensive.

Guess I missed a really good one. Just watched the highlights, I might have to re-watch the whole thing later. In terms of the off-season, I would be fine with just KG is Allen is unattainable. A Blake/KG/DJ big man rotation is championship caliber. Clippers need to go all out in getting him if Mo opts out, though the obvious issues are the per year salary and how many years. It only seems possible if the Clippers can pull off something like $7-8 million / year for 2 seasons, but with KG's production, I don't know about that.

It works because Blake is still on his rookie contract, so he's making a lot less than what he's worth. It will be hard to justify when you have to re-sign Blake (and Paul) and KG still has one more year. You would have like $30 million on your big men. That's a time when one wishes they could have extended DJ for like $7 million / year.

If not, then sign Kwame Brown (if properly healthy) as a backup C, hopefully for a cheap price.

actually you can. if you agree to a contract or convince him. they just add it on top of that year or cancel that and give him new contract

He had an Early Termination Option that he waived when the trade was agreed upon, which fully locked him into the remainder of his deal (2 years). He won't be a free-agent until next summer. Paul could agree to an extension, but that is neither in his or the organization's best interest. Re-signing as a free-agent will give him more years/security. The Clippers may be more secure in knowing that they could extend him, but signing him when he hits free-agency will lock him up long term.

OTOH Blake can be offered a max extension this summer which would kick in during the 2013-14 season.
