I don't know if it was posted, but I remember a few people wanting to see what the guy that ran on the field was doing.

I was worried about him all off-season. I really wish we had traded him at peak value. I know I am in the minority with that viewpoint but it is how I feel.

Ohhh please. We got this guy signed up on a fantastic contract. Even if he only manages 30 HR's this year its still a great contract based on his versatility, defense and leadership alone. What would we get for him? Some guy on a bloated contract or prospects? We have enough prospects, its time to win

Look at the positives of his slump. We are 4-2 with him doing nothing at the plate. When he starts to get hot then we could really go on a run.

Pujols is off to a slow start as well. Does anyone think he's not going to at least hit 30 HRs this season?

Look around. Contrary to popular belief, elite hitters aren't locked in for 162 games a year. They struggle and they'll hack at junk when frustrated. It doesn't mean they forgot everything they've learned.

I agree that it would have been best to trade him for say Mike Trout and a handful of other prospects, especially in our 5 year picture but you can't worry that he is suddenly a terrible ball player after a few AB's and a ton of work over the offseason.

I'm fine with the decision to keep him but we all knew we weren't going to get any more 8 WAR seasons out of him. Last year he provided like 30 odd million dollars worth of surplus value, so even if he is a 2 WAR RF for the rest of his career he still easily makes up his contracts worth and then some.

I'm not worried about Bautista, he is squaring up the ball well and has a low BABIP. I expect 4-6 WAR out of him this season.
