Clippers win 95-82 over the Twolves. It was all Clippers in the 2nd half 8-)
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

The Spurs dropped the ball last night, but have an 8 point lead over the Grizzlies heading into the 4th quarter. If they can hold onto the win, we'll have a 1.5 game (plus the tiebreaker) advantage over Memphis in the standings.

Nick Young has struggled with his shooting one of the assistant coaches, or the video coordinator or something needs to watch video of him as a Wizard in his most efficient seasons. The coaching staff then needs to analyze how they can put him in his most effective and efficient positions on the court, while having him play within the offense.

From 2010-2011, which was a really efficient season, his highest scoring areas were isolation, post up (few attempts), and spot up. He was terrible shooting off screens and as the ball handler in the pick and roll. Pick and roll is terrible for Young because he's not a good playmaker, and he shoots awful from the pick and roll.

The Clippers need to find his hot spots as an isolation player, and runs plays for him there once in while during games. In 10-11, he shot 48.3% FG on isolation and it was 16% of his offense only took 11 threes while isolating, so he doesn't take threes from it.

His main source of offense was spot up. He shot 46.7% as a spot up shooter, and that included 45.8% from three. Obviously there are a lot of spot up oppurtunities in this offense, and he needs to continue being used in that role. It was 23.8% of his offense.

Lastly we have post up, an extremely small sample size in terms of strict post-up, though he did go into post-up sometimes when isolated. He posted up only 28 times, shot 14-26, got fouled once, many turned it over once. It was only 2.8% of his offense, so it's more of something based on matchup.

So how to make Nick Young effective:
-take him out of being the ball handler in pick and roll situations
-run isolation plays for him in his hot spots from mid-range area
-continue to strategically use him as a spot up shooter as he is excellent in that role

With that said, I think there's just a transition and getting comfortable element to it also. He's been poor so far as a Clipper as a spot up shooter, terrible in transition, not surprisingly awful as the ball handler in the pick and roll, and though not his usual effectiveness, his highest FG% has been in isolation at 42.1%

^ He needs to attack the basket more. I know some times he's in bad situations but he needs to attack more

“It felt great. The team was in a great rhythm so I just didn’t want to mess up the rhythm the team was playing with,” Williams said. “I just wanted to step right in and do whatever I can to help the team.”

like this. shows he is involved

That's good to hear. I expect him to get more mins than some of the others in the playoffs due to experience, but there's still going to be a reduction. 20 mins may not seem like much, but it shouldn't matter too much if it's attached to a win. Thankfully he's locked in (for the time being at least).
