Game 60: Utah Jazz (31-28) @ New Orleans Hornets (16-42)

If tonights effort reflects the teams desire to compete in the playoffs, we weren't gonna last long anyways. I don't think getting blownout in a quick series is all that beneficial in terms of development for our younger players. A close, competitive series would be great. But I just can't see it given how we've played recently, especially if we drew the 8th seed (thunder). I'll take the pick and be on my way.

Gonna be a stressful last three games of the season, since those are the only games I see the warriors winning to stay in that 8 spot.

Oh ya, it's not like we didn't beat them on the road earlier this year or anything... totally implausible.

Ever heard of Zach Randolph? He makes the Grizzlies just a tad better.

We are playing a D-League guy as our starting SF and Tinsley (or Harris) as our backup SG, which renders Hayward far less useful. The guys injured are basically scrubs, but our rotation is way out of wack now. We need to dump all those guys this summer and get a real damn SF and draft a PG. This team is pathetic as stands.

ugly loss. We beat memphis\houston and then loose to NO. Sick.

I really dont think we played that bad. I actually think we played well they just played better. Gordon kicked our ass but he is that good. I hate that we loss but Im not angry about it as usual becuase I think we played up to our potential. New Orleans with all its players is better than Utah, Houston, Phoenix, and Denver but they were hurt or didnt want to play this year unfortuantely for the Jazz until now.

You guys act like losing those guys to injury has made us worse...

Pretty sure every one on here wanted all of those players (other than Evans) to get LESS playing time. What's the big problem with not having them now?

Also, Zach Randolph is still working his way back into the game. They've been bringing him off the bench... he's not making them THAT much better.

A semi-healthy Hornets team is certainly much better than their record would indicate, I watched them quite a bit this season and I think Monty Williams has done a great job with them. They always hustle, play hard and now they're not looking to tank. Eric Gordon can really be a dominant scorer in this league, his ability to change speeds, always stay under control when driving and either finishing in traffic or finding an open man was amazing.

Having said that, this was just a horrible game for the Jazz. No energy, no heart. Big Al was a total liability (don't care about his shooting stats, when he gave up just as much to Kaman, didn't rebound, was nowhere to be found on help D, couldn't move the ball offensively), no one could even dream of slowing Eric Gordon down, Hayward was too passive, Harris was non-existent except for a few bad turnovers. Only lineup that worked was with the bench players in and we went away from it. It's a travesty that Favors is still only getting little more than 20 minutes.

I don't think they played so bad... but they did not played as good as vs Rockets.

We need more from Harris and Hayward.
Millsap played great, as Favors. Jefferson did his thing in offense.

Gordon killed us.
