Bynum Should be our #1 Target

Post#1 » by blackham9258 » Sat Apr 14, 2012 5:58 am

Say what you will: injury prone, sometimes immature but the boy is 23 and a beast and will be the best true center in the league for the next 10 years. My belief is that he will opt out of his contract this summer to sign a multi-year extension...........

and that is when we swoop in! I know it is a long shot, but our offer would be to ask him if he wants to be the 5th great LAL center to win in LAL or if he wants to be the first Champion center for Utah, and the entire focal point of our offense. (We can show him how he will get all the touches his heart desires. He seems like a guy that is coming into his own and wants the ball and the acclaim. Our pitch is 4/$60Mish, but we ask him... do you want to be the 2nd to 3rd fiddle for the next 5 years as a declining Kobe chases the scoring record or do you want to be the man on a team that is built to dominate for the next decade!

I agree with D Locke that we don't have a franchise super star... Derrick Favors maybe. With the addition of Bynum we would be beastly.

How: Amnesty Harris or dump him for a pick to Indy. Or better...convince LA to not lose him for nothing and trade Al for Bynum.

Hopefully our picks get us: Harrison Barnes and Damon Lilliard.

Bynum/Kanter
Favors/Millsap Resign for $32M with a descending contract: $10M,$10M,$6M,$6M
Brandon Rush signed for 3pt shooting/Harrison Barnes
Hayward/Burks
Harris/Lilliard/Watson

We need a small forward and a new coach, not a center that needs to grow up.

Bynum would average 23/12/3 on the Jazz and would make us a championship contender.

You do not pass that up.

As far as a SF Hayward is essentially able to do both. Perhaps we do just dump Harris on Milwakee or Indy for a pick and then send Al Jefferson to Philly for Iggy

Then we resign Millsap for 4/32 or 4/36 on a descending payscale with higher pay in the first years, and lower in the out years when the youngs start getting paid.

Bynum/Kanter
Favors/Millsap
Iggy/Harrison Barnes
Hayward/Burks
Watson/Lilliard

Championship in 3 years and then contending every year thereafter for 3-6 years.

You do know that Bynum tried to steal the ball from his own teammate the other night, right?

Bynum is stayng in LA. We need to trade Jeffersons expiring contract for a player with a long term contract that anther team doesnt want. Maybe Jefferson for Granger as Jefferson replaces free agent Hibbard; Jefferson, Harris, and Kanter for Rondo and Pearce; Jefferson for Kevin Martin. Favors needs to play 35 plus min per night every night so Jefferson has to go.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Bynum will be a top #10 or better player in this league next year. You always try to get that type of player...period!

This is a joke. Firstly, thejazz aren't making their major moves until 2013 summer when our cap space frees up. Secondly, how on earth are the jazz getting harrison barnes w/ at best the 8th pick? Not going to happen. Thirdly, the Lakers can exercise a team option this year and keep him (it's not a player option), so they won't be able to make a run for him til 2013 anyways. And lastly, how on earth do the jazz get Bynum by just trading Big Al? this is a weird fantasy world you live in sir.

Absolutely not. No room for headcases in Utah.

Word. Questionable durability is also a concern.
