Amen.

I think people don't realize how hard it would be to cover up something as complicated as a rigged NBA draft lottery in this day and age.

If the team that is "supposed" to get it gets it, conspiracy theorist says "hey, look, they rigged it".

If things don't work out in any predictable manner, conspiracy theorists says "they are just trying to keep people off their track and covering all their bases".

It's basically saying that life variability = anything that is coincidental is rigged, and anything that has no pattern is rigged in order to keep people that are trying to bust them off their trail. It's so stupid, but it almost sounds smart.

It only gives them no way of being wrong in their own minds. If there's no conspiracy, then they are in fact wrong.

I'm just saying that where there are conspiracies, they are set up more in the way that conspiracy theorists imagine than nonbelievers, if you catch my drift.

oh enough of this crap.

Why don't we scrap the lottery and go back to worst team gets A. Davis,

so there will be even more incentive to tank :)

What mainstream media should take note of is how chummy Stern is with the new Hornets owners

I have read two to three quotes where the new owner claims to be "really close" with Stern

Also did anyone else notice how the Hornets sold for about 40-50 M MORE than what all the pundits and analysts agreed was the value of the team?

Also the guy is talking about how he wants to take the Jazz' name from Utah as if he runs the NBA or something.

Most analysts agreed that to sell the team above 300 M would be a huge miracle.

I think the NBA got 340M or something like that.

New owner who pays way over face value for a team the NBA is DESPERATELY trying to sell, claims to be buddies with the comish...whether you guys like it or not the Hornets are getting #1 or #2 possibly #1 and #3.

Thats the first scenario.

Another team to watch is New Jersey. They were due (horrible record) to win the lottery back when Wall was available. Yet hmmm Wall goes to Washington, where a new owner has just paid BIG bucks for the franchise. Many thought Wall was a lock to come to NJ that year. Now with a chance for a redo, no way Stern lets his other NY team fail before they even move into their arena. Portland gets the pick and their franchise is doomed. But if they get the #1/#2 pick, Deron stays, and there is still a possibility Dwight comes over after next year. Dwight / Deron / Unibrow / Marshon / Lopez. There is NO WAY NJ's pick goes to Portland.

New Jersey and New Orleans fans should sleep easy tonight knowing that Stern has their back come draft time.

If refs can rig finals games and have a direct impact on key playoff series how is it impossible to think that the NBA wont rig the draft?

The NBA is a business. Sure it is hard to prove the draft is rigged but just bc no evidence has surfaced doesnt mean its not true.

If 10 years ago anyone posted about the refs and rigging games they would have been laughed at. Now when a ref comes out and says it was being done all the time, now after that revelation we should become MORE skeptical that a draft cant be rigged. if anything the past 5 years have shown that the NBA from the outcomes of games to the outcome of contests at All Star Weekend are often no less pre-determined than a match in the WWE. Vince McMahon and David Stern have alot more common than you think.

Its no wonder that when it comes to spreads NBA games ALWAYS match the spread to a POINT. It doesnt matter what is going on in the game. It could be a blow out in the 2nd or 3rd quarter. Turn on Sportscenter after the game and somehow the spread is magically EXACTLY what it was predicted to be before the game. Out of all the professional sports unfortunately the NBA is the place where cheating is most rampant from the garbage refs to the players who know when drug tests are and know how to curtail their smoking and roid habits to avoid being caught.
